Who's leading the exodus vote below.

If I've missed someone post it in here and I'll try to add them.

Winks added 26/27?

genuinely think we'll struggle to shift half them on that list tbh. Only ones I'd want to keep are Souttar, Nelson and maybe Stolarcyk but Souttar and Nelson are about the only ones who'll have interest.

No I missed him now added.

Fatawu and Monga.

I've not seen anything saying Monaco are triggering Faes' clause? I know he's played a bit but I can see them thinking they'll get better value elsewhere.

I think Fatawu will be the first to go, Monga quite possibly has a move already lined up. I can see Nelson following him out if there's still interest.

Combined we might make £20m profit off them if we're lucky. Might be a stretch.

Doubt we can reinvest any of it, it'll have to offset our losses.

Look at the state of those names. Who would even want to buy them.

Or be able to afford them, really, given how much we pay them.

Winksy?

There's confusion over his contract date 26/27.

I'll add him

Sell with profit:

- Fatawu

- Mavididi(?)

Probably break even/cover wages:

- Faes

- Winks

Fail to sell/fail to profit:

- Okoli

- Kristiansen

- Souttar

- Skipp

The risk being that sell the youth products (easier to sell, better profit) in order to make the money we need...

I think it depends on how realistic we are on his price, pretty much a nailed on starter in their side and they have only lost 2 in 12 in the league in that time.

Some of the players who signed deals before Sep 2025 on a 3 year deal or more are exempt from the SCMP rules so it’s quite possible that some of those players will remain

I think inevitably there will be a huge overturn in players.

Winks, Vestergaard, Choudhury & De Cordova Reid. I image will be free's (I can't imagine who would pay for them, on top of their wages) unless we simply have no offers, then a last resort is, a season long loan with a % of their wage to be paid, to encourage the wage reduction required to rejuvenate the playing squad. Other than that, they would have to be bought out of their contracts.

Players who would generate a fee:

Mavadidi

Skipp

Kristiansen

Okoli

Fatawu

Coulibaly

I would be unsure about Souttar, he hasn't played much football to justify a new team much confidence to spend on him, but if we are desperate then maybe we would give him a free / low fee to leave.

Academy players who would be of interest to sell due to the PSR rules:

I'd say any or all of them, fee dependant but:

Monga, Stolarczyk, Thomas & Nelson would be most likely.

Without sounding too positive, this terrible event must be looked at as a time to wipe clean the years of mismanagement and embrace the Academy talent.

There needs to be a structure of sound first team professionals (hopefully new ones), to give the first team a back bone and positive culture at the club, to win the 3rd division at the first attempt. It is a massive job, but one that is very doable (as we already experienced).

Judging by Friday, if Souttar had been available even under Rowett, we would have stayed up

Unless hes turned into a striker we probably wouldn't

What rule is this?

And do you mean SCMP or PSR? Because PSR cares about book values and losses, and SCMP only cares about overall player trading income (and 75%/60% turnover and equity injections) vs player costs

It's a rule to avoid putting relegated clubs in an impossible position re: SCMP because they can't offload all their high earners at once. The salaries of players signed on three-year+ deals before September of the previous season (ie, September 2025 in our case) are treated differently to help the club avoid an immediate SCMP breach. I'm not sure whether they're excluded from calculations entirely or counted at a reduced percentage, but there is some provision there to avoid punishing relegated clubs for commitments made under a different financial regime (ie, PSR).

I think there is an error, Luke Thomas is listed as a defender

much as I love giving Ayew a kicking, we've got a firmly midtable attacking record (12th most goals scored), our problem is that we seem to think defence is just what goes around degarden, only Wednesday and QPR have conceded more than us

If I was Monaco then I’d not follow up on the option to buy in their loan deal
now we’re league 1, they’re overpaying

i’d then re open negs. If the player has decided he wants to stay there and Monaco want him then we’re left with no option.

of course they would just inform us that this is what they’re going to do and it would just be much easier for us to accept a discount on the agreed fee.

(if his agent isn’t already orchestrating this then he’s not doing his job)
