I have no interest in getting a ST back again until we have new owners - agreed at that point it will be become much more of a challenge to get one but in the meantime I'll be steering well clear.

The plastics got them when we won the league, locking others out for ten years.

They jumped on the bandwagon and have now lost interest as they see no glory to hunt.

Wouldn't necessarily say that's the case- season tickets sold out the year prior and we've had a waiting list since.

That's just evidently not true is it, we had 23k season ticket holders in 14/15 and then the renewal rate was something stupid like 99.5%.

Ok  incorrect on the dates, the principle remains. they saw a change of ownership a potential upturn and bought in .Now they are bailing out.At least they are allowing the pent up demand an opportunity to provide a freshened up fan base, We need Leicester city supporters not plastics associating themselves with the perceived initial attraction of rich foreign owners, only to have their bubble burst ,when the interest wavered and the Luck ran out along with the complete incompetence.

I think a vast amount still there are very much attracted to our foreign ‘owners’. Many more so than that of who did not renew.

What are you basing this on though? Just assumptions? If you know the last time we had a big drop off in renewals that allowed these "plastics" in then fair enough.

Based on my admittedly small sample, those I know who have sacked it off recently have been life long fans. I had a season ticket for 34 years before giving it up end of the season just gone.

I am also pleased that some fresh faces will get a chance though.

You do realise these statements completely contradict each other? exactly what i expect from someone who has renewed though.

Enjoy watching Russel martin in the dug out next season

I'm not and never have been a STH.

But it's funny how fans are called "plastic" if they only support the club in the good times.

Everybody admires teams that go down the league(s) and still return a large following.

If that was true people would have bought them in 2010.

A lot were brought around 2014 when Nigels team were showing promise.can't blame people for wanting to be part of a successful project.

Plenty of good times had by all, some of these have stuck by LCFC along with the old timers. Its the "plastics" perogative to bail out when it gets a bit tough. Then take the high ground and call renewers all manner of insulting names. Most renewers

realise that KP have ruined it.But for the good of the club.they hang on in there and

Support the city.We also boo the useless

Overpaid players and hope for change of ownership. We will be here supporting

the club when they've all long gone.

That's The lazy arrogant players, The useless owners and the plastic fans who have passed through.

What Cropston says Sol, or that was my observation anyway.

I can pinpoint when I first personally noticed the influx and it was the home leg against Watford in the playoffs in 2013. Up until relegation to L1, crowds has been fairly sparse and then the big games that L1 season like Leeds were packed. Crowds improved there on but that Watford game I just remember finding myself surrounded by people I can only assume had never attended a football match with the nonsense they were coming out with!

But he said that the season ticket "glory hunters" came along when we won the league. IE got their first season tickets in 16/17.

When it's easy to prove that's just categorically untrue.

Sorry I was agreeing with the first line of his post I quoted with yours, the reference to 2014 ish, when Pearson had come back and we were building. That was personally when I noticed more people turning up and the stadium full.

Yes I agree it wasn’t 2016, the crowds were up by then.

I definitely think there are many people who have season tickets though who are KP era and not experienced the club before then.

Yep. After we won the Premier League there were only 304 new season ticket holders for 16/17. Just over 3500 applied in a ballot.

The success of the club in the 90s, plus the growth of football, grew the fanbase levels. All the trips to Wembley helped and it meant that after leaving Filbert St we added an average of 10k to our crowds for a couple of years.

Then a decade of 20-24k mainly before 2014 and a full house decade. The next few years will be interesting because we were a Premier League club 13 months ago and if we are promoted I would expect crowds to remain high. But a top flight absence will be a test. A lot of younger fans is good but no generation has grown up with regular third tier football.

Facts mate. If the club is successful this season, there won’t be many season tickets available next season. The only way there’ll be opportunities to get season tickets is if the club has another rubbish season and more pre existing season ticket holders give up.

There are a number of drivers to this.

When I were a lad in the 70's my dad wouldn't even by a ticket beforehand. We'd just pay on the gate/day. We'd even go on holiday the July fortnight "on spec". Fast forward to now turning up and paying on the door is virtually unheard of. People have the means to pay for stuff in advance and are used to getting booked up.

Population growth.

Football in England and the rise of the Prem has meant a general upward trajectory of the support base.

Leicester in particular I think the ownership of the KP in the early days got people thinking we were on a good footing and could go places. Not winning the Prem of course, I mean relative to where we were or had been in the years just before.

It's hard to say what will happen ownership/team/performance wise and it's hard to say if things don't get better if there will be a fall off or how quick it will be.

I’ve renewed purely as I’ve had a ST for years and I like to catch up with old friends

Im just wondering have any of the ones not renewed, regretted it as it might be a while again before you get the chance to get a ST again even with the present shit show of a board

Not renewed for new season after 32 years as ST. Might regret it but I currently live 110 miles away from KP so  couldn’t justify it. Also I just need a season off to see if I miss it. Plan on getting my name on waiting list just in case.

Biggest loss for me is the away points. Was high priority and that’s all gone now without ST. Certainly not getting a membership

I can't help but feel aggrieved that I went to games on my own quite a lot as we struggled at bottom of Championship then these fans came out of nowhere when I didn't have a season ticket.

I've been able to get my season ticket back because of the decline and I can obviously see why so many didn't renew. You can't really get worse than the effort of the last few years.

But you can't help but feel like there's more attachment to the club when you're surrounded by fans who are there at the lowest. I'm distraught at what's happened but if there is to be any positives then I hope it's that many others like me are able to go every week again.
