Two games in and I don’t want to go next week. It’s nearly impossible what we’ve done in the last 3/4 seasons it’s just been like a lead balloon. The sale can’t come quick enough

Martin just threw his players under the bus in that interview on RL 🤔

Sounded that way

2 league games into his reign and he is already emulating the absolute worse of Brendan Rodgers. Its never been more over.

Here's my predicition:

We're going to continue having very high possession.

We'll do **** all with it, as most of it is side-ways between the CBs and back.

We'll continue to lose.

RM’s post match interview on Radio Leicester was a painful listen. This guy is not going to change is he. This is as bad as I can remember, it’s the lowest our club has ever been and the  really awful thing is I don’t think we’re anywhere close to rock bottom yet.

We need to rectify the managerial situation immediately, we are going nowhere with this guy. I mean can this club sink any lower?

Russell Martins last 20 league games:

2 wins

6 draws

12 losses

He has to understand, the HE is the problem.

If he did throw the players under the bus in his interview, what else is he supposed to do? Yes, his management is crap. But the players are bloody awful and one got stupidly sent off, while the defense continues to play like they’ve never met each other.

Am interested to hear what he said. Hopefully be protected the young lads a bit.

He can still do one.

He did say there wasn’t any hunger or fight in the first 25 minutes. I just don’t think he fully understands the situation here.

He is correct....but why did he expect skipp, thomas, okoli and souttar would give him hunger and fight? Its absolutely beyond me how anyone who even has the slightest idea about football could expect any different!

Nigel Pearson used to tell us in interviews that there was squad imbalances and they were working on this which used to be refreshing.

Martin O’Neill also very honest in his assessment.

Haven’t heard his interview but perhaps not as refreshing.

Has anyone told him it's his job to instill that fight and hunger in his players?

He didn't really throw the players under the bus at all, and he did accept some degree of responsibility (you can hear it on the BBC article). Don't get me wrong I think his football's tedious and that based on his track record it's only a matter of time until he starts blaming everyone else, but I don't think he did do that here. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/live/c6p30kdv5041t

The two mates of his he signed in McCarthy and Cullen look absolute shite as well, I can't cope with all this strategic and sporting alignment and excellence

Done this to have trusted lieutenants that brown nose him and keep him informed of any attitudes against him in the dressing room.

"Self preservation mode" mentioned again already for us....a Martin classic!!!!

Yeah it’s all down to the other team having more desire, couldn’t possibly be his fault on why they have more desire

I’d normally laugh at anyone calling for a manager’s head this soon, but this isn’t exactly uncharted territory.

This is Russball to a tee. His previous sides played the same way, produced the same stats and served up the same shite -  usually with considerably more resources than the opposition

I  am very worried. Burton just looked better than us, it looked men against boys. It is abundantly clear, if you want to play this style, you need certain players with certain abilities in every part of of the pitch. Look at Enzo's system, when we lost Ricardo, and replaced him with hamza, the whole system fell apart. As Pipes said, we are 4/5 players short of playing this style, and with what we have, can we play in any other way?

Very worrying indeed.

I want to add, I don't think this is Martin's fault. This is the way he is employed to set us up, but he hasn't been given enough.

Skipp, Faes, Okoli, Thomas, Soutar, possibly hamza should all be gone by now. Tbf today I thought hamza looked okay, but we need these high wage players gone

If he’s sacked Rudkin will only bring a manager who will play the same style of crap

Hate to defend JR but this is firmly on Top's shoulders

Brussel has tried twice before to get the job and JR persuaded Top to not even interview him

This time with very few other creditable alternatives Top managed to get his man
