booing after 30 mins, and chanting your not fit to wear the shirt and you dont know what your doing leads to one thing ultimately.

He be gone before guy fawkes

personally, i think he needs to be given time

That’s what happens when your 0-2 to a team that finished 17th after drawing 1-1 with a team just promoted.

He has zero credit in the bank

Come on Russell prove us all wrong 😎

The issue is even if we get promoted the fans won’t warm to him as they will say we should be winning the league - so it’s not that he’s done a good job it’s just what is expected.

The bad start has only pushed the fans even further away from getting on his side too, we’d of needed two comfortable wins for anyone to even as much as say we’ve done okay.

We were never going to win every game, but it would’ve been a lot better if we started well and then had a little blip somewhere mid season rather than tripping out the gates like we have done. As much as people hate the football, you can’t really blame Martin for the stupidity of the team to concede two poor goals and then get a man sent off within the first half hour.

I still hope we can turn it around and I think we will, but we need some better defenders and a competent dm.

Russell is not a  fraud. He actually believes his own mantra and  football philosophy.

He is absolutely deluded and no use to our club or any other. At least now the board have made the worst possible appointment it's out the way.

I wanted a Pearson type figure. Get rid of the rot, set the standards and just go back to basics with pure effort

In reality, we need Pearson as DoF but that is not going to happen sadly. 😭

Our attack should be fine yet the emphasis will be on the weaker element of the team. That is why I don't believe in this.

The reason why I personally can’t see anything improving, and the only thing that will stop this team getting relegated is relying on teams worse than us, and we’ve just dropped points against the pundits picks to go down…….

Nothing will change until there’s a wholesale culture change, the rotten culture is still festering and isn’t going until Top has gone, that much is a fact.

It’s a harrowing time to be a Leicester fan, it really is the future is genuinely uncertain, those claiming that thinking this is an over exaggeration are unfortunately in denial in my opinion.

Unless there’s a mentality change over the next few weeks, and we switch to thinking pre like the Leicester that won the championship and beyond, we’re ****ed….. well and truly ****ed…. Because as we are now, we are getting relegated, this whole franchise is on a downwards trajectory, thanks to misalignment, misguided leadership, lack of conviction from the board room and a lack of acceptance of where we are any why.

We came down just assuming we would walk the league, with a completely arrogant and lazy approach to pre season, that is now becoming clear has again been another wasted summer period.

To save this season, Martin has to go now, and they have to seek a manager with the same mantra, aura and footballing philosophy as Nigel Pearson… why, because this is the only way this club can begin to recover.

No chance just another very poor manager to add to our list of rubbish

I think he overrated the competence of his defenders, specifically the 2 CBS we do have, two of the worst I've ever seen, every chance we gift the opponent is from these 2 just being the worst CB pairing we've ever seen

I agree with all this but unfortunately sacking Martin will make little difference. In this division you need players who are big, strong , brave, hard working, fast, well organised, strong on set pieces. We have none of this & have added players who are small & weak, so there is little time & money to change this & bring in the right type of player.

The future looks very bleak

I think they can probably appoint someone worse! This is King Power!

It would make a difference because Martin plays to our weaknesses.

Having Okoli, McCarthy and Souttar trying to tip tap it around their own penalty area, having Thomas as an inverted fb, not using wingers, playing it backwards instead of having runners break the lines are all acts of self-harm that make us less than the s of our parts.

Such managers do not exist.

I have thought this about every single clown they have gone on to appoint, cant be worse than Cooper = RVN, Couldnt possibly get worse than RVN = Cifuentes, Got to be someone better than Cifuentes = Rowett. Now Martin! Never underestimate the clown abilities of Jon Rudkin and King Power to self sabotage. Honestly at this point I believe Rudkin is picking the team and it matters not one bit who is in charge, there could be no other excuse for 3 successive Managers playing Luke Thomas and Okoli.

As well as overrating his own tactics. His hubris doesn’t allow him to change anything, take blame or pivot to what’s in-front of him.

Just like the Thai owners.  Culturally, losing face is worse to them than publicly admitting something. Sums up why they have not accepting low bids, but keep them on the books and not using them, or even worse making us play them to our detriment

If he had any ability at all he would be playing a style that suits the players we have. Then the squad could be adapted with time to the style he wants.

As I said, if.

The whole reason he got the job was for the style of football, the choice has been made by the owner.

You would also assume that a manager with half a clue would be able to adapt and have many options for each opponent.

It is hubris, stupidity and laziness to just have one tactic and stick to it contrary to the outcome. We haven’t got eye players so the manager should be the one to change to get the best out of his options.

Martin can't adapt. Martin has Martins way and that's it, again, another thing the club should have taken into account when they appointed him, but they no doubt did not.

100% this and highlights just why he shouldn't have any involvement in decisions about the footballing side of the club given that his knowledge of the game is about as good as my own of polo!

It's more a footballing ethos than a tactic, I am sure he can use different formations and nuances but his ethos as a manager is hold the football. That 100% wont change it's how he see's the game.

77.2% 69% and 73.2% (with ten f*cking men) possession stats in out first three games with a pretty pathetic output is just going to be us all season.

Again Stupid appointment, and had we got the players in to do it in this division we'd be in all kinds of trouble next season anyway as it's not a viable way to play for a Championship team on a budget.
