Coppa Italia could be one of the most enjoyable competitions in Europe but it's just mostly a series of exhibition matches until the top teams finally get tested in the 1/4 finals.

Yeah they televised a couple of Napoli games last season so probably gone for more of a commitment.

The article says there's 6 Scottish players over there at the mo, a few English too.

Yeah I remember watching a Bologna game on Alba last season with a focus on Ferguson, might be different on BBC Scotland but on Alba the commentary was very much in Gaelic

La Liga seems to have gone for a rolling start to their season this year with a match or two per day starting from last weekend building up to full set of fixtures this weekend.  Anyone know what is that all about?

His price tag raised eyebrows but he will always be a success under a manager like Hansi Flick.

 

It'll be interesting to see how they fit Gordon, Raphinha and Yamal into the same team going forward. Certainly wouldn't like to be a defender against that sort of pace on the counter attack.

Conference League seems tough this year- Monaco, Freiburg, Braga, Atalanta and Ajax in the competition.

You left out Brighton. And if Midtjylland can keep hold of Osorio and Franculino, I'd fancy them to repeat last year's exploits in the Europa League.

But then, the competition has always had good teams in there - just at look at the semi finals when we played against Roma and Marseille played Feyenoord. Arguably all CL level teams at the time.
