You can add Chaplin to this list.

I do personally agree that we need more midfielders and centre halves before we need strikers. We are dangerously close to playing Hamza and Faes.

You can bet that Bristric gets a decent injury the second the window shuts though.

I actually think the most important thing for a striker playing for us is how we play off them rather than how many goals they are going to score. The reason we looked so bad last season wasn't because Daka and Ayew weren't scoring (obviously, they weren't) it's because they offered us almost nothing to build from. In Chaplin, Burns, Watson, Alves and Cullen, we have attacking midfielders who should be able to score goals at this level. We need a striker to get in good enough psitions for them to have an affect on the game. I'm not confident that is BDCR, hopefully Bristic and Cullen offer us that.

We can only hope the Cullen brothers link up well :D

I obviously mean the occasions he plays upfront, not him linking up with himself lol

I think they are absolutely playing with fire not signing another striker. I know Danny Ings fell through because of a failed medical but a player of that quality would've just gave a bit more confidence in the forward line because if Bristric isn't at the races... Eek 😬🙄

Never known a club like it. Terrified of Strikers! You can already see what's coming. 70%+ possession every week with no end product. The Bosnian lad needs to hit ground running or were in a proper mess.

Haha yeah, couldn't resist sorry :D I got what you meant.

I think you're right. The goals aren't going to come from our strikers, none of them  look like proper goal scorers but their strengths lie in being able to link up with others. If Russel's vision comes to fuition, I suspect we'll have 5 or 6 players clocking up 5-15 goals.

I suspect that should we win games, a lot will be by virtue of set pieces or class strikes from 20-25 yards. Or the "philosophy" being abandoned in the last 10-15 mins of games if we're chasing a goal.

Don’t worry, our scouting department has an excellent record of identifying and signing top quality strikers over the last decade!

Bristric is sure to be a continuation of their success over the last few seasons

I think the real worry is that he's not an out and out striker. I do think we need two players that can lead a line.

Cullen, Chaplin and Reid will have their uses but to really occupy a back line we could do with Bristric and one other IMO.

So we have one unproven no 9 and 2 utility players up front. I thought at least another loan striker would be sanctioned. Look how difficult the Northampton game was created next to nothing the central

defenders were the biggest threat from corners team full of midfielders. Complacency
