And here in lies the problem.

99% of fans should want to be applauding the Academy lads but at the same time boo the swamp inhabitants which is obviously impossible.

Need to come up with a POSITIVE chant just for the Academy boys that by definition lets the other tossers know exactly what we think of them.

Can we just sing “Academy” in some sort of rhythmic song or chant ? Must be some musical maestro’s on the forum surely that can come up with something

If Rowett was in charge 2 draws and a clean sheet would have been labelled as 'at least he is making us difficult to beat'.

Rowett got away with murder for whatever reason

Ultimately, we need promotion this season. We have seen many teams have slow starts and then hit a run of form.

I do think yesterdays performance was good. I think its a long time since we have seen a 90 minute performance from us against anyone. Last season, even early on we were unable to put in more than 30 mins where we looked ok.

If you look at last seasons L1, Bolton got promoted with 19 wins and 18 draws. Cardiff got automatics with 27 wins and 10 draws. There is a realism pill to swallow here. L1 teams all seem to take points off each other. Plymouth lost 17 games last season and just missed out on playoffs. Im not going to get overly dramatic with the table position after 3 games, as I think a lot of these L1 teams burn themselves out.

We HAVE to turn around our poor run of form which predates this season (although Martin himself is in a similar run of form). We havent won 2 in a row since November 2025, and the last time before that Aug 2025, and the last time before that October 2024. That is a HORRIFIC run of form, that we have to break to achieve anything. Not winning has become a nasty habit.

How do the players know they are aim at Martin not them?

When I listened in thought the players were getting quite positive feedback when they done something worthy of it, ie good pass tackle etc.

If they start getting jeers when passing at the back or because of the end result. The message is clear.

Surely there needs to be a line in the sand, 1 side is the drop from the premier Lge and the other is the start of the next chapter.

We are currently on a reset which everyone on this forum was calling for yet there are still boos ringing out and even worse from the armchair.

Yesterday 15 of the 18 man travelling squad were either not here or played very little (Page, Aluko & Souttar’s 2games) leaving just Thomas, Stol & BCDR that played any part of the last 3 seasons & yet the negativity continues.

Surely even the manager is allowed some credits or is he guilty by his previous jobs and that’s that, some are so wired against him he could hand them the title and they will still say it will fall apart, but in that moment does it matter?

Then Top and Rudkin, but even they have tried to correct the mess, everything down from Rudkin is new & the clubs up for sale so again who cares about those 2 in this moment.

It’s said the club hinges on this season surely we should all be doing our upmost to ensure the new chapter is a success and booing after 1 game doesn’t really set a positive tone through-out the club.

Apart from Cardiff you have highlighted teams from league one getting promoted, should we not have similar expectations of Cardiffs  win rate as opposed to clubs that have been in the division years and have no budget, we have spent considerably more that Cardiff already.

True but they've sung longer, harder ones than that just needs a group of 4/5 to keep singing something and it will spread if it's liked.

One of my favourite Songs from the 60s.

It certainly feels like we are in the lap of the Gods Planets and Stars at the moment. It just feels a little surreal at present.

Have I missed the bit where he has earned any yet? 3 games in 0.66 win rate

Potentially bottom 3

I'm talking about after the game.

The one good thing from yesterday and Tuesday is you can see the young players want it and to succed.

If he keeps them together with another Striker we can move up the Table quickly, it'searly days yet.

But we need to score Goals somehow.

Not entirely sure I trust him to coach a team to create chances for a striker even if he ****ing starts one tbh

If they’re getting jeers, they’re more likely to not want to make a mistake. So they’ll play it safe (ie passing backwards) and take less risks.

But Martin is the wrong choice in my opinion, we can be positive about the academy players of course, but the wider issues somewhat bury that…. The problem is, if things continue as they are, the toxicity will increase and they will become victim to it….

There hasn’t been a reset, because the reset is needed at ownership level, we need a cultural reset, not so much players, yes that can sometimes invoke change, but the players were bringing in are either washed up or on loan, and as we saw with Mukasa once the it looks like the race is run, they can easily give up and blame their environment for poor performances.

In essence, this isn’t the reset we want or need yet, because that comes once the club is finally sold.

No you’re right he’s had 3 games sack him, sack De Zeba sack Lampard, Emery, Hayen, Heckingbottom & even our fans pick Mark Robins for all not being top

Credit as in he wasn’t part of the past 3 seasons 🤷‍♂️

Of course. You just excluded the rest of my post! We have turn it around, but 3 games is 3 games.

With the position this club finds itself in only 10 years after winning the Premier league title, people have every right to be negative and to think otherwise is madness.

I'm not his biggest fan, but to be fair to him I have seen a lot of better movement when getting into attacking positions. Players making runs to open space etc.

Unfortunately the final pass or shot has let us down so many times so far. We need a break to grow confidence be it a lucky goal ot OG.

As you know I'm sure, Scoring is an art all of it's own, some players have it most don't. Timing is so crucial along with calmness.

We should also bear in mind that most of the players on the pitch, coaches and manager aren't responsible for the last 4 years.

They don't deserve the stick they're getting and actually really need our support and help right now and overall they're not getting that from the fans.

You can’t have the reset you need without funding it, also how many teams actually build a forever squad to get out of these leagues, you need to get to where you want to be before building to stay there / pushing on.

Big reset everyone seems to want is on, the clubs up for sale for goodness sake which will also mean the end of Rudkin, but this isn’t as simple as putting your Ford fiesta on auto trader and having it sold next week, can’t some take the bigger picture, clubs up for sale, the majority of the squad is new, it’s been 3 games and just draw the line?

Everything else is just ‘if’…if we stay like this we will be relegated but what ‘if’ in 3 or 4 games time we gel and we get promoted 🤷‍♂️

There is a difference between saying someone deserves credit/s and being sacked. I have not said he deserved to be sacked yet.

But I have said if Wednesday and Oxford start trouncing teams the pressure is going to intensify rather quickly.

Boo the leadership and ownership, back the players (at the minute) as they are being hugely let down but the state of the club and squad.

We have gone into the season with 3CBs who aren’t likely to be here and 1 striker who is a young lad playing in this country for the first time. Anyone expecting us to walk the league with this lot is in for a shock, but as a club we should absolutely piss this.

We won’t, I said at the start of the season that we are hugely unprepared. Hopefully the last weeks (I don’t actually know when the window/loan window closes) of the transfer window see us somehow sort this mess out and then get all of the recruitment right. I think it’s play offs if we are very lucky.

Unfortunately it's this coming Wednesday. I have zero faith that those in charge are going to get what we need in the next few days.
