Could this signing allow us to go to three at the back?

Souttar - O'Hora - Kangasniemi

I say this because I think both Joseph and McFarlance would make excellent wing-backs.

Not sure if it's a system that Martin has ever used though...

Given Martin probably has the most set way of playing in world football, I think it's unlikely he suddenly changes formation.

I think we need Souttar, OHora and Kanga at least to support a 2 at the back system, given Souttar's injury record and our lack of numbers elsewhere. Lundstram as a bit of experience will be great. he's been in some good promoted sides in the championship so knows what it takes. Those players in the squad alongside Burns and Chaplin, even if not playing, will be good for the younger lads.

I do wonder if this is in the balance, as a deal, all dependent on what is happening with Faes!

If we can't shift Faes, we would still have four Central Defenders on the books (not including Nelson)

I think this O'Hora deal will fall through.

We'll be lumbered with Faes.

It's all got to be domino effect here. They don't need OHora if Faes or Okoli are staying. They won't want the extra wage. Hopefully means one or both of the others are going.

Both could still depart after today

O'Hora, Okoli, Kangasniemi and Souttar is probably what'll happen.

But he will still have to fit Luke Thomas into the starting line-up somewhere.

Martin was quite complementary about Faes when he returned after the Summer.

I think if Faes stayed, RM would play him, and wouldn't have a problem doing so.

Which would be the point that I and many others would check out for the season :nono:

Never understood how anyone can just switch off their 'support'.

I personally, physically, cannot do that.

Not sure what I would do with my time :(

Triple announcement before kick off would be one way to get the fans onside for the game

What?  Faes, Okoli & BDCR are staying at least till Jan, that'll get us onside!!!  Be like Leeds at 1974 European Cup Final, Mllwall at Luton Spring 85.

They'll be repairing the ripped up seats for weeks:jawdrop:

Not so sure.

We would have a lot of CBs on the books.

He wants out and there’s a few windows still open on the continent, if he doesn’t go I can see another mutual pay off like vestergaard

Problem is he actually is worth a fair amount. Can we afford to lose £5m or whatever his value is.

That's a very good point!

Makes me think that we'd probably want to get O'Hora in today just in case someone was to go to Turkey later.
