I do find it a bit weird that it seems he's already being written off somewhat as well. I'm in the same boat as you. Gamble on the unknown. It's more interesting if nothing else. 1

If you want a player from those countries, then they have to meet certain requirements like being internationally capped or had a strong showing in a European competition, Bodo/Glimt in last season’s Champions League for example. 6 1

We have used our two ESC slots to sign Kangasniemi and Bristric which allow us to bypass the criteria for work permit. The level of player we would be able to target are unlike to get a work permit. 1

I suspect Emil Riis is one of many we are looking at. 1

Rather than players who are surplus to requirements and have played at tiers above our current level. Those players rarely have the right mentality to drop down (unless they are young and on loan and have something to prove to their owning club), as we have seen when doing this repeatedly in recent years.
