Just want a goal for Bristric now, I like him from what I’ve seen so far, good endeavour and physicality, good movement making space for others with his runs. Strikers live off confidence though, and he’ll need a bit of that moving to a new country and a higher level.

But Martin doesn't know how to coach it and we don't have the players. Like or loathe Winks and Vestergaard, they were two of the best in the division at beating the press and they had Ricardo and Hermansen for help.

 

This lot are ****ing guff.

 

You need to be good at playing through the press but also, you need to make it so they have to commit to the press, because letting us having the ball is also a terrible idea. We've got neither, we can't bait the press because we can't pass our way out of it, and if you don't press you can just sit fairly comfortably and watch us pass it around without straining your shape.

First one I didn't actually celebrate 😂 

 

Second one went in and an involuntary "YES!" came out of me.

We've got some really talented youngsters. It's great to see. They would have done a job in the Championship last season rather than the dross we had to put up with.

What happened there lol

 

Pretty mixed half, some chances created, couple for Reid, Bristvic with one. But we really look uncomfortable at the back, struggling to deal with their press and rode out luck.

 

But goals change games and it’s great to see us take those chances when they arrived and the timing.

 

Hopefully we continue with that intent. We know this side isn’t set up to defend a lead so we need to keep playing and go at them.
