As I predicted after the Barnsley game, the worst thing possible for those unfortunate not to go on international duty was 3 uninterrupted weeks of Russell Martin teaching them and it was clear to see. They have not enjoyed their break.

The players also need to take some of the flak - whatever you say about the system, they have to be doing more with so many touches in the box.

The football is ineffective. Slow passes give the opposition time to defend.

The players do need to learn to not overhit crosses though.

We just do not take anywhere near enough risks in the final third, and instead do it in front of our goal. I don’t get it, surely either both or neither would make more sense

All of our wingers and Doyle were unbelievably bad in and around the box.

Sorry insane, this will all continue it’s the same shite that’s got us relegated twice in a row and now under the king possession football we’re middling in league one. 
 

The Stevenage commentators got it right “it’s bizarre to watch they get to the box then go backwards”   It’s the way we’re setup and drilled. We’re slow and so easy to play against. The game has moved in but our failure to see this and adapt as a club will kill us. 
 

His subs for example don’t change anything just more of the same. It’s so predictable.
