Matty Fryatt

Age: 19

Height: 5ft 10

Weight: 11st

2005/2006 - 27 appearances, 14 goals

2004/2005 - 39 appearances, 15 goals

2003/2004 - 22 appearances, 2 goals

Total Appearances: 64 (24) - 88

Total Goals: 31

So that's about one goal in every 3 appearances, or one goal in every two starts. Good stats but even Wright could score in League One...

Most importantly though, he's scored against Forest twice this season. :P

what their fans say about him...

"Glad to get rid of him. He appears to have an attitude problem and breathing difficulties.

However much you've paid - it's too much.

When he can be bothered to breath and run, he's actually quite good."

Sounds like with a good motivational manager, he'll come good.....Looks like we wont see the best of him for a while then!

He seems to have a good attitude as per this link ie he wants to play first team football on a regular basis & accepts this may only happen with a Championship team........

Watched Fryatt play as a yougster at Carlisle (on loan). I remember he looked like a kid among a lot of big guys in that division, very lightweight. However he was clearly talented even in a team that was struggling to stay in the league (they went down).

He has the makings but l'm not sure he will have an immediate impact in terms of goals, which is what we need.

However it's a couple of years since l've seen him so hopefully he'll be the answer to our prayers...however we need some experience alongside him...he would play well of a big man (not de lump).

Either that or he'll play three games, not impress, go out on loan, impress there and then leave for an undisclosed fee.

You like to contradict yourself, in one post you say CL never admits to a mistake ever, then you have a veiled attack on him getting rid of Gilbert, err isn't that admitting he's made a mistake. - But then you can't admit anything CL does is right, it wouldn't provide a joke for you eh :P

hopefully CL doesn't still believe that de lump playing up front with Fryatt is the answer to all our problems.........but hey lets get Fryatt first. But it sounds as if Fryatt is a better prospect than Hume???????

CL didn't admit that he'd made a mistake.

Just because we can all see that he's made one and he's acted as if perhaps he believes he might have suffered an error of judgement, he certainly hasn't admitted he's made a mistake.

Do you understand?

Ive been impressed with Hume so far. Remember Hume isnt a striker really i reckon he could answer our problems on the right and mayb Fryatt gets straight into the squad then :D:thumbup:

There has to be someone else. He cant be relying on Smith to play right wing and Hamill on the left while Sylla's away. A new right winger is about as essential as a striker in my opinion!

what do you reckon to matthew piper returning?

not having a great time at sunderland and he was reluctant to leave leicester?
