Stuliasz Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 Now it's official, we need to start discussing who will take over and I'm quite concerned about the possibilities. Hopefully the chap who mentioned Peter Reid is totally wrong because I reckon that would be a disaster. So who should take over the now vacant managerial post?

But I do hope the board have someone in mind already. Imagine what would happen if we didn't find anyone till the end of the season!!!

Where in his history has he been a disaster given the tools he was working with at the time. For heaven's sake give the man some credit!!!
Mark Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 Someone temporary with experience (though i wouldn't pick Reid) until the end of the season - hopefully keep us up. Then we have the Summer to decide on keeping them on or going for someone like Tilson, Newell, Allen, Penney.
willy37 Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 over the last couple of months there has been various rumours floating around. who does every1 think we will approach, realisticly!! gotta be martin allen for me!
Babylon Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 over the last couple of months there has been various rumours floating around. who does every1 think we will approach, realisticly!! gotta be martin allen for me! As if.
Benji Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 Are luton looking to get rid of Newell after what he said or is it just a rmour from their fans? After what he's done for them you'd hae thought they'd not get rid, but if he came available.....
Gené and Tonic Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 Steve Tilson would be realistic imo. Leicester are a far more attractive option that Southend
l444ry Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 Why not Bobby Robson for 18 months. He's employed now. If we'd got rid of Levein earlier that was a serious option.
marko Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 Someone reckoned we'd get Reid and Gary Mac by monday. Hope not
john_lcfc Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 GARY MCALLISTER WITH A VERY HIGH PROFILE ASSISTANT!!!!!!!!!! THATS A FACT BY THE WAY
Aberdeen_fox Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 Someone temporary with experience (though i wouldn't pick Reid) until the end of the season - hopefully keep us up. woznotwos Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 Personally i hope Newell has annoyed the Luton board and we can snap him up,realistically ,as if !! i think we should reappoint brian little at the club, as a more realistic target .
Simon Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 Please not Peter Reid!!! Steve Tilson's done a good job down this way so he'd be a good bet. Martin Allen's also got to be up there, as imo, should John Gorman. I'd also have no problem with giving the job to Rob Kelly permanently if he does well.
jet-plane Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 He's employed now. If we'd got rid of Levein earlier that was a serious option. Only as assistant to ROI, hardly taxing for him. I bet he'd be tempted. WE've got a decent set up ,very good set of youngsters and he'd be hugely flattered as i'm sure he's convinced that everyone thinks he's past it.
Syko Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 Personally i hope Newell has annoyed the Luton board and we can snap him up,realistically ,as if !! i think we should reappoint brian little at the club, as a more realistic target . yeah he would be alrite he knows hume n we would finally see our team play well! if not win! also i heard sven needs a job
City Fan Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 Bring in Peter Reid and Gary Mac on 6 month deals, if they keep us up and they do well, keep them. If not, grab someone else.
The People's Hero Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 Lee Philpott and Julian Watts dream ticket. Oh yes.
Babylon Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 GARY MCALLISTER WITH A VERY HIGH PROFILE ASSISTANT!!!!!!!!!! THATS A FACT BY THE WAY Well we are focked considering his record is actually worse than CLs.
