As Chairman he has a respnsibility to present a range of options to the shareholders.

There are no frigging options (unconfirmed is not an option) at the moment and he should be putting the only sustantial offer we have to the shareholders. Is he giving a third part time to asses Manadrics offer?

Or perhaps it should have been put this way.

As Chairman he has a responsibility to seek alternative options for the shareholders.

There is not a final offer from Mandy yet - he has already said he has not done due dilligence, a written bid will not be in until he has done that, otherwise he does not know exactly what he is buying ( long term contracts, the exact deal with Teachers, etc. ). Rumour has it that another group were at the club last week doing due dilligence. They would only have been allowed in if there was a strong likliehood of a bid. To sum up, I don't think there are any bids to put to the shareholders yet - there will definately be one, and maybe two in about a week's time. Then the shareholders can decide. In the meantime I think people should maybe calm down a little. :)

Yeah, good luck with that.

According to another board, a lawyer has been on/is on RL saying he knows of two other bids. Could be rubbish, but I thought I'd pass the info on.

Yes, I heard that interview. Nothing else new was said though, they mostly asked about dates.

Re: the Trust calling for the Tigers to come in, I thought it was another bit of Radio Leicester spin rather than the Trust wanting a groundshare, the reporter said (something like - don't take as verbatim as I'm remembering from a couple of hours ago!) 'The Leicester Tigers have one last chance bid for a groundshare with Leicester City before the oppotunity is lost to them forever when the club is taken over, Foxes Trust spokesman Ian Bason said, '...obviously this would be the last chance for the Tigers to get involved if they want to', the Tigers spokesperson BlahBlah says that they are not involved in any consortium to take over the football club'

Do any of you Mandy-lovers out there know what his position is on the groundshare?

I'm not sure he's made comment one way or the other.

Shouldn't we find out where he stands before we sign the ground over to him?

Posted

As he's said he wants the ground to belong to the football club I don't think he's going to sell half to the Tigers, however he could still rent to them (although I don't think the Tigers would go for that).

Have you heard that Trust spokesman on Radio Leicester today? Unbelievable! Almost begging the Tigers to come and get the groundhsare bid in again. Disgraceful.

Some true colours really coming out now, I havent got any new info since I last posted but from recent press reports I have got the following impressions.

The other options taylor is on about is outside investment which involves a one off cash injection that provides transfer funds to keep the fans happy and keeps the current board in their position.

The foxes trust are coming out as a organisation doing everything possible to hold onto their current position and selling out our identity to the tigers is a far worse option then manderic, milan is a football man and enjoys success on the pitch has bags of experience. When the ex rugby coach joined southampton it was one example that experience in rugby means nothing in football. If tigers were to invest it would only be for their own benefit to get use of our stadium.

Milan is identifying with the fans has previous success and bags of experience he is making all the right noises, I am well aware he isnt handing over 25million with no catches but his deal is offering us a vast improvement over the past 3 years and a realistic prospect of premiership football again which is what the fans want, he also offers us the chance to own the stadium outright fending off the tigers once and for all. I expect both the board and the trust dont like this option as they lose their positions at the club.

I still think milan is in the front position and is now very likely to get control of the club, but is by no means a done deal and I am sure the board are working harder then the past 3 years to find alternative investment.

Oxymoronic...there is no way to keep the bulk of the fans happy and the current board on their seats.

It certainly appears that way doesn't it.

Milan - I expect both the board and the trust dont like this option as they lose their positions at the club.

Yup.

If it ends in a ground share deal, with the board staying, I shall be finding a member of the Board or the Trust Exec in order to rectally insert my season ticket.

The trust may be acting in the interests of the club, we don't know all the facts. Perhaps they are trying to get assurances from MM by raising the profile of the other options.

There is a way to keep the current board and happy fans. If they stumped up as little as £5m quid for transfers this would likely be more than MM would make available. They need to realise that if they want to keep their positions it is going to cost them this season and every season until we are in the Prem. If they want to keep on owning the club, they need to show the fans they are better than the other options. I'm not saying the will, but it is possible. We fans are fickle as hell! :D

I have been told there is definite interest from an other 'party' but there are some very un-attractive propositions in the deal that the board won't like, as it means they'd be bombed straight out should that 'party' buy in.

Could rumble on for a long while.

:yesyes: Take overs take a very long time. Especially when there is more than one party involved.

Mandaric will probably pull out though if the club piss him about and I don't blame him. From a purely selfish view, it's a good deal he's offering and why should he wait around whilst the board pimp our club. When they didn't manage to get any interest from anyone until the Milan Mandaric rumours started. Unless, Andrew Taylor deserves a bit of credit. Perhaps he's managed to drum up some interest.

Mandaric knows the score, he was also in no rush to buy this club until other interest was shown in it, so I'm quite sure he relises that we will at least look and consider other interests/offers besides his own. Remember he's very good at using the media to his advantage and you seem to be falling for his little tricks hook line and sinker. He's isn't going to pull out unless we really piss him about and I don't think Taylor, as stupid as he is, is that stupid.

I think Xzibit would be better qualified to do this.

Take this and run with it, kids!

I'm just scared of our board, that's all.

Or getting MM to make a more generous commitment.
