Surreal Madrid Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 I would imagine now this is the talk of the town the LCFC board may well have to make some sort of announcement either to deny it, which would make MM or the The News (Portsmouth) out to be liars or to confirm that talks have happened therefore demonstrating that they are in control of the situation. See my post on the previous page - as I said, if it's true the board, and probably the Foxes Trust are due some plaudits ( and maybe the odd apology or two ).

Is it because we did them in the play-offs all those years ago when they were cruelly shafted on goal difference for an automatic promotion place? Or because of our trip in administration? We didn't cheat or do anything illegal, if they had a gripe surely it should be with the F.A/F.L?

Have they not read the article about Millwall and Portmouth fans not getting on and that being the reason he didn't go there. I would hope that it would take more than a few disgruntled fans to put Milan off! If not then we're screwed as those Pompey lot don't seem to like us.

I suspect that the reason for not being interested in Millwall is a smoke screen, they have considerably more baggage than us, have never been as successful, well not in my lifetime and don't they already have a single owner?

I doubt it would make that much difference, he didn't get where he is by being influenced by customers he no longer had a business interest in. This, if it happens will be based, first of all on pure business potential. He might be happy to spend some dosh but even at 67 he wont want to lose it. If people want to influence him then they should completely ignore the Portsmouth rantings and let him know in no uncertain terms he will be welcomed with open arms by the vast majority of LCFC fans.
