Finnegan Posted 4 October 2006 Posted 4 October 2006 And who'd be cringing like me at the thought of what shi te he'd tempt in with the wonga? Carl Asaba's grandad's gorra be worth a mil at least.
reynard Posted 5 October 2006 Posted 5 October 2006 Look at Pompey in MM's early years, based on that it is far from certain a large player budget would be made available typical ft reply. scared you might lose your position? hardly flush with money at the moment are we? we need a benefactor or we are going nowhere
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 October 2006 Posted 5 October 2006 Look at Pompey in MM's early years, based on that it is far from certain a large player budget would be made available Your not listening... Any player budget would be a start.
Strokes Posted 5 October 2006 Posted 5 October 2006 I doubt he could make us weaker in the transfer market.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 5 October 2006 Posted 5 October 2006 Why are Ultra and the Foxes Trust obsessed with the idea of him coming in with millions of pounds for transfers? I just want a financially viable and well-structured club that can compete at this level with a stable base, not a crock of shit hurtling headlong towards League One without a penny to sign anyone, even on loan, to help out.
Thracian Posted 5 October 2006 Posted 5 October 2006 Until this Fairy Story comes about I think we should focus on getting the best out of what we've got. When and if that ever happens perhaps then we'll start to appreciate what we've got instead of lamenting that we can't buy every Tom, Dick and Harry whose got a pair of football boots.

Im fed up of talking about what we have. It's shit and is barley able to compete at this level.

When and if that ever happens perhaps then we'll start to appreciate what we've got instead of lamenting that we can't buy every Tom, Dick and Harry whose got a pair of football boots. Forget that. It's underperformance, getting the LEAST out of what we've got that we can expect.
Master Fox Posted 5 October 2006 Posted 5 October 2006 Im fed up of talking about what we have. It's shit and is barley able to compete at this level. Same here Manwell, what we have is truly awful

Because they each seemingly have a different agenda than simply 'the club doing well'. It's almost certainly about 'ego' in one way or another. Anyway, we don't know that the Foxes Trust doesn't want MM in... it's just the view of whoever posts on here as 'Foxes Trust' - presumably a 'power drunk' (ha ha - they have shares you know!!!!) FT member with ideas above his/her station.
Ultra Posted 5 October 2006 Posted 5 October 2006 Because they each seemingly have a different agenda than simply 'the club doing well'. It's almost certainly about 'ego' in one way or another. And of course, someone with an incredibly pretentious (and false) user name is perfectly placed to attack someone else's "ego" aren't they?
The People's Hero Posted 5 October 2006 Posted 5 October 2006 And of course, someone with an incredibly pretentious (and false) user name is perfectly placed to attack someone else's "ego" aren't they? Do you know what is a good sign of guilt? Failing to deny something and instead asking another question. I'd make this post longer, but quite frankly arguing with you is boring. You make it personal, but everytime we argue, I end up having to embarass you.
lcfc_jme Posted 5 October 2006 Posted 5 October 2006 Now now children lets play nicely together. If you two can't actually get along (which I know you can't 'cos you're at each others throats every time you're in the same thread) then why don't you just place each other on ignore or agree to disagree for the entirety of your stay here
Fez of Mahrez Posted 5 October 2006 Posted 5 October 2006 Plus it's a neat way for Ultra to avoid answering any difficult questions.
lcfc_jme Posted 5 October 2006 Posted 5 October 2006 Because I like making him look stupid! as entertaining as you are to me TPH, I think that's a little immature and childish in all honesty. Still, you have been a mod and have been on both this site and this planet longer than I, and so I trust you to be doing the right thing with your time
The People's Hero Posted 5 October 2006 Posted 5 October 2006 Plus it's a neat way for Ultra to avoid answering any difficult questions. He finds even simple questions difficult to answer. I think his 'lash out with stupid comments' trigger is set too sensitively.
gosfox Posted 5 October 2006 Posted 5 October 2006 He finds even simple questions difficult to answer. I think his 'lash out with stupid comments' trigger is set too sensitively. and yours isn't???
lcfc_jme Posted 5 October 2006 Posted 5 October 2006 and yours isn't??? Deary me I can see where this is heading... I'd like to officiate :D
The People's Hero Posted 5 October 2006 Posted 5 October 2006 There's a lot of hate coming out towards me here. To those of you I'd say - grow up. To those who like me I'd say - well done, spot on.

Once again we will repeat what has been written & approved by the Trust Board "IF there is someone out there who has the finances and acumen to take City forward in the short, medium and long term AND has the best interests of City fans at heart then great. We certainly would not be against it" Suffice to say that if Mandaric, or anyone else, bids to take ownership of our club we would do our utmost to ensure it is one that will take the club forward and in full consultation with our members.
Daggers Posted 5 October 2006 Posted 5 October 2006 I can't help but think this thread has had its day. Let it go, nobody listens to techno...

Except among the many thousands of words which the pro-Mandaric brigade have posted on here and elsewhere, not ONE single shred of evidence has been produced to indicate that he will be able to meet such basic criteria.
