A House of Dynamite, on Netflix.

Nothing wrong with the acting or the screenplay and Idris Elba, Rebecca Ferguson et al are on form, but...

  Reveal hidden contents

Prepare to be entirely blue-balled/WTF'd by the ending

I knew I'd be watching this so obviously didn't open the spoiler, now I've watched it I wish I had lol

Yeah I watched it on Prime.

Its rare that anything can have me sitting still for over 2 and a half hours without pissing around on my phone but I was glued to it.

Will try Oppenheimer again soon but off to the cinema tonight to watch Black Phone 2, anyone watched it?

Really enjoyed 'Weapons'. Had no idea going in what it was going to be about, which is always a good thing.

I do worry for the kids that were in that movie and I hope they are unaffected by it lol

John Carpenter has announced a sequel to "The Thing" is in the works.

Will always give a Carpenter movie a go.

He's had some misses but the original Halloween and The Fog are two of the greatest classic horror movies of any generation.

Escape From New York and Big Trouble in Little China would be tops from him for me, along of course with The Thing.

No love for Assault On Precinct 13? For shame!

No matter how old I get, Big Trouble in Little China will never not get a big smile from me from start to finish.

Just one of those late 80’s films that hits the spot every time

Just seen Guillermo Del Toro‘s Frankenstein.

Beautifully shot, captures Shelley‘s drama perfectly.

Only downsides: The length (150

minutes), the early, early flashbacks at the beginning – and I didn‘t like the actress portraying Elizabeth (Mia Goth; a bit stiff). Also, Frankenstein‘s monster should‘ve been more like… an actual monster.

There‘s a bit of body horror, but it is handled tastefully.

7/10

The Mummy 4 with Brendan Fraiser and Rachel Weisz is in works... should be interesting cant be as bad as that bad Tom Cruise version which was basically like a Mission Impossible Mummy.

I dread the Harrison Ford treatment – see Indiana Jones 5. Indy becomes a wreck and a woman girl boss (in the shape of a highly annoying Phoebe Waller-Bridge) needs to save the day.

It was a very bad movie and deservedly flopped at the box office.

I'm sick and tired of the lack of original ideas within Hollywood. In hindsight and up until about 2010/2015, we as a movie audience were spoiled with new ideas, concepts, actors at their peak or just hitting it – and daring directors.

Today, it's just one big slush of sequels and superhero CGI fests.

Movies are also deliberately dumbed down for an increasingly distracted audience nowadays:

As for the Mummy 4, at least we know there's a son who could potentially take over.

Hope they bring back the originally Alex... Freddie Boath not crap actor who replaced him in the 3rd movie

Alright just watched House of dynamite.....

I get it's supposed to be a thought provoking movie etc etc. But ffs! Why end like that. So annoying and such a waste of what is a brilliant cast and a brilliant start to the movie.

Very late to the party but just saw F1 movie. Dreadful, as most films where Pitt is the least rather than the support are.

The amount of superhero films is bonkers....personally cant stand them. Currently waiting for Goodboy to become available to watch......an original idea having the dog as the main character in a horror. 👍

I've been kept up to date with the next Bond film, it's amazing how you go back between the 1960's to like the last 90's. Not counting the six year gap between 1989 to 1995 in which was down legal issues with the character. There used to be a Bond film out every two years and if it's time to effects were still good. For some reason nowhere days the gaps are getting bigger, 4 years between Quantum and Skyfall. 3 years between Skyfall and Spectre then huge six years for spectre and No Time To Die. Now the next film is not coming out till 2028, so that's seven year gap! I'm not sure how and why it takes so long to make a movie, marvel seem to be get at least one movie year out, yet however owns Bond now seems to take an age.
