Mad Dog Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 I havn't read the thread, but let me just say anyone slagging him off already deserves a poke in the eye. Shut up and let him play. I'm confident he'll do well for us.
potter3 Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 I hope he'll do well but I'm doubtful, considering he's only scored 22 goals in 123 apperances...
Muz Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 I actually think he'll do alrite for us. This obviously shows that Kelly does'nt have any faith in O'Grady or Dodds ( at this present moment ). He'll get a few goals , probably more than Hammond

Jimmy Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 hmmmmmm well....... guess we must wait, what does signing him mean though????? Hume going???? why do people think just because we sign someone (who was not under contract) we are going to sell, its an extra body for the remainder of the season. I don't think he was attached to another club, formally, so he should be available. he was playing for grays on a non-contract basis so he can play
Thracian Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 Thirteen of his 22 goals career goals came in his formative seasons at Everton. He got five more at Bradford one season and nine goals in total over 7 seasons, not any seven months you might name. How long would Dodds take to score 9 goals? Six months maybe? What's Danny had to make him suddenly so different - a talent transplant? He's often done well on first impressions while Dodds looks nothing. But I know which one I'd back with my money. Statistics are funny things but over 10 years of statistics aren't likely to lie.

Muz Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 your comparing senior level to youth level thrac, you really do look daft continually saying dods will out score every one because of his youth level, he hardly scored a hat full at northwich But he did make an impression Skizzo. Which wise old man said 'If you good enough , your old enough'? It must be really heartbreaking for Dodds to see us taking risks on reject strikers that have been playing at lower leagues , what must he do to get a chance?
Thracian Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 your comparing senior level to youth level thrac, you really do look daft continually saying dods will out score every one because of his youth level, he hardly scored a hat full at northwich But he did score some - even in a broken spell and from an unfit start - which is more than Danny did at Grays. Over any 46-game season I'd back Dodds to score more than Cadamarteri - and to be fit and available for more matches - every time. It is disgraceful the way Dodds has been wasted this season.
Ajax Treesdown Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 On the bright side, at least it'll make Elvis Hammond look better He's better than f*****g Elvis Hammond. Dear me........
dan_84 Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 he has to be better than O'Grady otherwise cant see him being worth signing.
RowlattsFox Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 atleast o'grady is further away from the 1st team
Head Honcho Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 I havn't read the thread, but let me just say anyone slagging him off already deserves a poke in the eye. Shut up and let him play. I'm confident he'll do well for us. ..............and this assumption is based on what? He's started 123 games and had 87 substitute appearances in 10 years. He's scored 23 goals I wish him all the best but he's going to have to find a lot to compete at this level again, he wasn't a prolific goalscorer before his ban I can't see there being any change! He was struggling last season with Bradford and his premiership days are long gone.
securedfox Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 I'm not sure, but someone may put me right on this. Didn't Cads play a lot of his games for Everton on the right wing. Rather than an out and out striker, especially at the start of his career. Could be wrong, but maybe RK may have that position in mind, what do you think!
lcfc_jme Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 Just found this.... He'll fit right in Forkin hell sounds frighteningly like how Elvis Hammond is most weeks for us Hmmm who is going to make way for him to play though??
Thracian Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 He's better than f*****g Elvis Hammond. Dear me........ You just want to glance at City's record when Hammond has not played or been a second half sub and compare it with when he's played. In 11 League games when he was out of the side or a late sub we won once and amassed a relegation level seven points. In 16 games he has played we've won seven, drawn four and taken 25 points. It's time people started giving Hammond some slack because, unlike a few who get in or on the periphery of our team - he's earned it.

That's the problem with people judging strikers by the amount of goals they score! They lose sight of the other aspects of their game and like you say Elvis has earned his starting place unlike our big money signing who can't put a foot wrong in some people's mind.
l444ry Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 Go on and kid yourselves that this is anything but a joke signing if that's what floats your boat. This is nothing more than clutching at straws. How many clubs jumped in for him after the mighty Bradford City put him on his bike and before the mighty Grays Athletic signed him? If this is the best we can afford as a short term loan then no wonder Mandaric is reportedly lowering his bid. City must be even more skint than he thinks we are!!!
Finnegan Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 Oh Danny Danny! Danny, Danny, Danny Cadamarteri! [/prime originality] He scores against Cov and he's my new hero.
MBK Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 I sincerely hope I'm wrong and that he does well... Short term deal. No loss either way.

Too many when a lot of games could have been won. He is too incomplete as a striker
Foxhateram Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 Great. Another shit player to watch. ah well, atleast we now have another benchwarmer . i find it radiculous that RK who i normally praise as some of you will know, thinks we need a striker ok yer were not scoring gr8 amounts but the confidence of goals is beggining to make our fowards play better and have confidence bringing in this guy is just going to shatter there confidence back to what is was before and almost garuntees fryatt asking to go in january. lets all wave fryatt away cus hes gone already!!!! RK dont u think we need decent CM's?
Leicester's 12th Man Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 Why jump on the 'lets all have a go at Danny before he even plays' bandwagon. Give him a chance for fookin hells sake. I may be a new member here but I have been watching Leicester since I was 7, I'm 16 now, and I'm a strong believer in the fact you should not criticise a City player unless they deserve to be criticised. Why not support RK's decision? Cut him some slack, after all could you do any better with the funds he has? We are nearer the play off places than the relegation zone so just shut the fookin hell up if you can't post constructive thoughts on how he's gonna fit in / welcome messages. Welcome Danny mate
