If I could change one thing about Grace Road it would be the size of pitch. Far too big and it impacts atmosphere, that far left corner if looking our from the pavilion is such dead space.

I agree. It's the biggest playing area in the country, I think.

They should declare, let us get a quick 100, then set them 150 off the last 20 overs of the day.

To manufacture the chance of a result, Kent needed to declare overnight. Can only think we would rather bank the points for a draw than risk losing by agreeing to set them a target.

No idea if there would be a demand for it but as state schools don't have acres of playing fields (mine had a universal couple of courts that, depending on the colours of the lines, were used for a number of different sports but that was it - no grass and nothing of any size) I remember going to an outdoor sports centre in London that served many state schools called Barn Elms  - could something like that be developed for both schools and other clubs use as well as cricket facilities (may also get a few more interested in the actual game). Could be wishful thinking as the numbers may not work.

Most state schools in Leicester do have acres of playing fields I believe Guthlaxton Lancaster Boys Countesthorpe College Beachamp certainly fo

We still have a 28 point cushion. Looks like a 52 point cushion to 3rd.

And Ian Holland will now have the Dukes ball back to cause havoc in the final 3 games against the bottom 3, none of whom really have anything to play for.

Means we need 21 points from our final 3 games to secure promotion. Means we could technically lose every game and still get promoted. One win will do it, as would two draws.

Derbyshire sign Matt Montgomery from Notts what a great signing we have missed out big time

If we can get Ben Green on a permanent deal I reckon that'd be a great signing for T20. He can come in at 7/8 and get quick runs. Like Ben Mike but better and more economical bowling figures.

Is Ben Mike out for the whole season?

Green will be here next season if the reports are correct.

I understand - just wondered if we will see him this season

He's back in the squad for tomorrow's game, along with other returnees including Trevaskis and Cox:

"Handscomb captains the Foxes in 50-over cricket for the first time, with Pakistan Test skipper Shan Masood featuring as Leicestershire’s second overseas star.

Ben Mike, Ben Cox, Alex Green and Sam Wood all come back into the matchday squad, with Liam Trevaskis and Chris Wright also aiming to break into the XI.

The Foxes will miss Rehan Ahmed, Josh Hull and Louis Kimber, who are all away at The Hundred.

Leicestershire Foxes: Budinger, Cox+, A Green, Handscomb*, Hill, Holland, Masood, Mike, Patel, Scriven, Trevaskis, Wood, Wright."

Hope Alex Green plays, I'd to see how he develops.

I know we want to do well and we will with that batting line up but I think it’s really important that we see Wood and Green playing most games even if they get knocked around a bit. Long term development is just as important.
