Roman Walker turning out for Shropshire CCC against Cumbria in the NCCA Trophy today. Finished with 2-50 off his 9 overs.

Interestingly, he joined them 11 days ago at the same time as Joe Johnson - son of another former Fox, Zimbabwean star Neil Johnson.

Johnson played a handful of games for our seconds a few seasons ago it seems? 359 runs in one match is some going!

Did we get 400 before the 110th?

Yes got the 400, funny though against Surrey Patel got wided time and time again and rightly so for bowling down the leg  side, this lad bowling 3 or 4 bouncers an over and nothing.

Really weird tactics Patel and weatherald put us in a great place to go on and try and win this game with very little risk of losing it but the rest of the batters seemed happy to chug along at 3 runs an over or less and take zero chances and accept a draw.

Especially now, there’s no conceivable way we lose the game so why not just hit out? Worst case, Glamorgan just come back in quicker but with a smaller deficit

yMaybe Weatherald not available to bat and thinking the pitch is a road we might be thinking put the heavy roller on in the morning and hope the pitch breaks up but not much of a lead at the moment 34 with 10 overs to go today

The average points to stay up over the past four seasons is 131 and if today is a draw we’ll be on 32 after 3. If you extrapolate that forward we’d make 139. It’s a real shame we didn’t go for it yesterday to try and put Glamorgan under pressure.

Id go out there for 10 overs this morning, try and get a 150 lead and then put them in and see what happens.

Surrey and Sussex are definitely stronger ones though I don’t think many thought Sussex would be up there but they’re a tidy outfit. Think it’ll be between us, Glam, Hants then maybe Yorkshire and maybe a random other that’ll struggle.

If only we had a fit bowler instead of the Singh shambles against Sussex.

What's happened to Singh, he's not even getting a game for the 2nd XI? Ben Mike is back, which is good to see, and playing in a team that includes Budinger and Trevaskis.

Surrey of course not so sure about Sussex still think they will finish no higher then 6\7

Surprised you asked that having watched him play.He only signed a 4 week contract don't think he will play first class cricket again

Can't complain with where we've come from, but this team doesn't really have any x factor which stops them being able to take games like this away from the opposition.

Think we have batters who can step on the gas but the bowling looks weak we will struggle to take 20 wickets

Looking at the fixtures they are really poor if you don't attend the T20 First game start of April then a 4 week gap to the 2nd match and then a whopping 6 weeks to the 3rd home match against Essex.

There’s also a player called OB Rayner playing for the twos today. Any relation to OP Rayner?

Singh has sung his last song!
