Honestly think Scriven should be one of the first names on the team sheet too. He’s got a knack for big wickets, can hold an end and can bat, his stats support the case. Then you can interchange the likes of Hull, Green (A) and Davey depending on fitness.

Good morning, however need a really good start. Coups get skittled here if the Pitch has changed

Went down yesterday, very decent turnout, beautiful weather day.

Shame Notts battered us.

Wow Ben Green

It’s not done yet but this Notts team is absolutely stacked with experienced county pro’s. Their batting line up is a joke in terms of quality and their bowling line up is pretty relentless too, so a lot to learn.

And that's without their main spearhead, Josh Tongue and Fergus O'Neill - I suspect we'd be batting again by tea if they were both playing!

Think it’s more about quality. Their squad is basically just a handpicking of smaller counties best players, traditionally us but now mainly Worcester with sprinklings of Derby and Northants mixed in.

Hull's figures this season:

1/121

0/52

2/84

0/19

0/85

3 wickets at an eye watering 120, and going at Ben Mike economy. Career first class average approaching 50 now...

I know we don't exactly have a wealth of options to swap in but he might benefit from some time in the seconds because he's struggling. Boost his confidence for the Blast where in contrast he'll be vital.

I'd say a 5 for in the second innings might prove me wrong but probably won't get the chance.

Hopefully looked at what Stone was doing, giving the batters nothing.

Notts bowlers a different class unfortunately.

Stone must be bowling 92mph here, unreal

Been unreal. We've done well to just about see out the day against that.

All about the weather from here then

Yeh, forecast is not great for the next two days.

Olly Stone may have bowled well here, but he's only played 11 first class games in 4 seasons. Not a great return overall.

I like Hull but I just don't quite see it. Not like he's rapid either. Cricket's a funny game with averages as it can just click into place but I don't see him really becoming international class at the moment.

Record 9th wicket partnership against Notts and highest first class score for Patel, who doesn't look like a number 10. Eskinazi is turning out to be a great signing so far - currently averaging 62 in his knocks for Leicestershire, since he joined last September.

Got a bonus point!

Second bonus point, not bad from 112-7!

Incredible knock by Eskinazi aided by Ajaz Patel 👏🏼👏🏼
