Yeah Scriven is my favourite to be honest. He just seems to have that level of control that the other young lads don’t.

England Lions v South Africa a fiver to get in plenty of test players on view and barely 100 in the ground.

 

The club get a good few grand to host these games there's a real danger the ECB will stop  awarding fixtures at GR if things don't improve.

 

They can’t be that interested in attendances or they wouldn’t put it at 11am on a weekday.

You’re seriously comparing a 40 over England Lions game with a 90 overs a day pinnacle of the sport test match? I could be wrong but I don’t think any England men’s T20 has ever started at 11am and is done by 2.30pm on a midweek, term time day.

Are you saying that if the game was played today or tomorrow the numbers would be any different.?Alex Hartley said on a podcast that the England players hate playing at Leicester and Derby because nobody turns up. Not sure why you mentioned what time the game finished nobody knew that would happen..

 

England Lions play SA at Worcester tomorrow and on Tuesday the crowds for both games will be around 800\900 despite ticket prices being twice the price.

 

Dread to think how many will turn up apart from myself for the England under 19 game at the end of the month. Just hope plenty of mums and dad's turn up to break the 100 mark.

Well yeah. I’d have gone for one. It wasn’t something I considered booking time off work for. If they’d have wanted more of a crowd they’d have put it at night too.

I’m not sure that’s completely true re England players, Freddie Flintoff has always been complementary about playing at Grace Road, tho it’s often for the net facilities which are well known to be the best in the country. 
 

edit Ev, I just saw the other post about Freddie moaning so I take it all back 😂😂😂😂

The net facility is outstanding, many years ago Australia requested to come to Leicester when they were knocked out of a tournament surprisingly early. Old story I know but when Ricky Ponting asked why his reply was “why else would you want to come to Leicester?” Or something similar 🤣

Think it was the 2009 ashes when they’d got knocked out of the world t20 early. They basically did a month here non stop. Then lost the ashes anyway
