Indeed  disagree with the policy of not playing Raine or Chappell ok not part of the future but a win and 4th place would have been a great finish.On a side note looks like Notts would have been relegated if Lancs could have scored another 27 runs  would have loved to see them back in Div 2

Yep, agree with all of that, especially as Abbas was also unavailable. And where's Dexter? Is he injured or has he been left out because he's leaving too?

Good question not been offered a new contract as yet so this foot injury seems a bit fishy time will tell

Glad I didn't make the trip. Klein had his best spell for a while after tea which was positive, plus Javid battled well again. That's it though.

I know it could have been better but 6th place would still represent real progress. Shame that we're losing a few important players, though. Absolutely must retain Abbas. Sure we'd have beaten Glamorgan with him in the team.

Agreed 2 batsmen minimum. Squad is very small and we will lose, 6 or 7 is it?

The top order let us down all season. We need more than one new batsman. More like 2 or 3 at least. 

 

Out highest finishing position in the CC for years,  though, so there are some signs of progress, even if the second half of the season was a big disappointment.

We need a new opening bat (again) some big hitters for 1 day cricket who can also play 4 day and a spinner who takes wickets.

It would make sense to have a smaller squad of better players who play all forms of the game rather than having a mediocre big squad.

Agreed. Azhar Zaidi released from Essex would be good. Left arm spin, lots of experience. Averages 36 with the bat and 29 with the ball. He is 36 but we have alot of younger players. Be a good fit I think.

Yep good call. 

 

Monty wants back in. Could give him a trial? What do we have to lose. Parkinson's wickets are at about 80 so I think he'd improve that. Parkinson is a decent white ball bowler.

Think he was leading wicket taker in t20 bit as you say didn't have a good time in the 50 over comp.
