Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 Yes, but if we can get him on a free it's worth the gamble. If we gamble on Cort why can't we gamble on Todorov? That wasn't my point, was it? My point was that not many people seem to be making much reference to his injuries, which have been much more worrying than Cort's in my opinion.
Bluefoxtim Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 That wasn't my point, was it? My point was that not many people seem to be making much reference to his injuries, which have been much more worrying than Cort's in my opinion. But Todorov is proven to be a top player. Cort isn't.
Webbo Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 I don't think we can take a chance on 2 crocks. I'm not keen on Todarov and I wasn't keen on Cort either. Beggars can't be choosers I guess.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 But Todorov is proven to be a top player.Cort isn't. Ayup, we've got another one. Pele is proven to be a top player but he wouldn't be much use to us now. If you read the threads on Cort, the main issue is his injury record and people actually seem to rate him fairly highly, which is fair enough as the season before last he did fairly well in this division. Muzzy Izzet has had a full season more recently than Svetoslav Todorov.

Tommeh Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 Good point, must admit I wasn't aware his injuries had been so bad over the last few years and his lack of games played. Given this he is a gamble sure in the same way that Cort was and I'm personally pleased to see Cort here and believe we can get him fit and firing and that Todorov can do the same. edit: In reply to reply to Fez's origional post
Tommeh Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 Agreeing with yourself - first sign of madness was meant to reply to Fez's post.
Nick Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn41...25/ai_n18757378 I acknowledge that this article is from March 25th, it does however quote Harry Redknapp saying that he would like to hold on to Todorov when his contract expires in the summer, although it appears that he already has something else lined up..... If it is a done deal, was it done in principal some time ago?
The Reverend Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 I think that having Kishishev here could have a big part in him maybe coming here. Perhaos they arent big pals (though they may be), but its always nice to have someone around thats the same as you if your a foreigner.

Ultra Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 Radio Leicester reckon he's on his way here.. Could be a decent move - if he can EVER stay fit.
teblin Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 That was only players we'd been linked with. They didn't say it was deffo.
Ultra Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 They did say he'd turned a contract down at Pompey, and speculated that it could be because he was coming to us. It did sound like they knew something we didn't.
Master Fox Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 Radio Leicester reckon he's on his way here..Could be a decent move - if he can EVER stay fit. Radio Leicester say a lot of things.

Ric Flair Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 I seem to recall them saying he was DEFINITELY signing for us back in February/March on loan.
Daggers Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 Radio Leicester say a lot of things. Said it was going to be sunny today
