If we sign Job, Kaebi, Morfaw, Hendrie/Clemence and a left winger then i'll be happy.

If we have any cash left to get Todorov as well then i'd be delighted.

Personally I would prefer him to play on the right wing and for us to sign a striker who I'd be more confident of scoring 20 goals this season i.e. McLeod or Todorov. I don't see 20 goals coming from Job - or Cort, Fryatt or Hume for that matter. Cort up front with either McLeod or Todorov and Hume on the right would be what I'd be aiming for. I'm not sure where Job would fit into that. Or Fryatt.

The frustrating wait continues...

I don't think for a second think Todorov or McLeaod will score 20 goals for us either, Todorov will take time to find the goal on a regular basis, this is if he doesn't get laid off again, and McLeod just aint capable, I don't think he's even manged 20 league goals in League One has he?

I thought that Mcleod scored about 20/21. Could be less though. Todorov is a risk though and the amount of games he has played in the last few years has kind of put me off tbh. Job might be worth a go though and I still think that if Cort and Fryatt can stay fit and motivated both are capable of scoring goals. His record at m/boro wasn't that great but didn't they often play him in midfield?

In all competitions he managed 24 goals, 21 of them coming in League Two.

Even with his scoring record there I'm still unsure of whether he'd be good enough for this level.

i think our problem is that we signed fryatt from a lower divison who had a good scoring record and he hasnt yet produced it in the champ. Yes, he has had his injuries, but i still dont think he has of yet really grasped this division. i dont see mcleod being any differant... Sure, we could give him a year to settle in but i dont see that as being realistic at all- we cant spend that amount of money and not expect them to be producing the goods... we can afford to do that more so with freebies like toderov and job. Sign them both, i say and spend the money on getting them a midfield that would give them the service! they cant even be in a position to miss chances if they ar'nt given the ball! lol

I did read your post. When I replyed I thought that he had scored 20 goals in league one as well as his season in league two.

He scored 17 in League One I think.

18 wasn't it. Both seasons.

splitting hairs anyway it was less than 20.

EDIT: I tell you what I'll actually look it up.....

He scored 17 in their most recent League One season, with 1 goal coming in the cup.

Season before that, he scored 16 in the League, with 2 in the cup.

So I can see where you got 18 from... ;)

Well that MK dons fans with a stupid amount of posts said it, that where I got it form. :D

Either way he hasn't scored 20 goals in that division.

20 league goal a season strikers are extremly difficult to come across, if you have one your normally top 10 and more than likely play offs if you can keep it reasonable tight at the back and have a half decent second striker.

I would like Job in definately BUT also want Todorov because I think we need a good finisher like him! That would mean Hume would be set for a midfield role, which I think we would need anyway, beacuse we don't have a midfield yet!!!! Bring in Hendrie, Clemence, Kommons and Hammil on season long loan....and i am DANCING!!!!

Just to let you know, Kommons has already said he's staying with Forest.

IMO that's what we should be aiming for. It's not as simple as saying he's scored over 20 goals in League Two, 16 or 17 in League One so he'll score about 12-15 in the Championship. Scoring 20 goals also becomes less important if you have a third striker who will be aiming for double figures (Fryatt or Cort if Hume is the second striker).

I just like the idea of Izale, Cort and Job lining up together at the start of the season and giving the eyes to the Blackpool defence.

THIS IS LEICESTAAAAAAAAAAAA!

i dont always trust the papers, but when the mercury uses phrases such as 'leicester city are closing on on their latest target' it begins to make you think the deal is as good as done....

lol that would be special.

Obviously not, that would be a very Thracian way of thinking about it, but in this case I think it is.

Another about McLeod is that he goes Weeks without scoreing and then has a hot streak, then goes weeks without scoreing, which in my experince fans at Leicester aren't paticularly fond of.

Given the number of times that the Mockery has got it wrong, I won't get too excited just yet.
