I don't mind people having opinions, but you've been sold a duff one pal.

Job averaged a goal every 2 games in the top league in France last season (a better level than the league we are in) his goals to games ratio was as good as Pauleta's. Job has played 46 times for a half decent national team and when played up front for Middlesborough he did very well at times.

Give the lad a chance, just like you want everyone to give Fryatt another chance. I'm with you on that one. We need 4 competitive strikers for next season, so i'm sure Fryatt, Cort, Job and Hume will all have chances to prove their worth and rightly so.

Job is capable of 15+ goals next season. Can't see many teams fancying playing against him. I recall him taking Man United's back four to pieces a few seasons ago.

You're probaly quite right, I'll get behind anyone that comes anyway, they all deserve a chance, I just think we've got some excellent youngsters coming through as well.

Cheers.

Job should be unveiled on Friday according to the chap on another forum who's been on the money with a lot of stuff in recent weeks. He said Hayes had agreed to join us about a month ago. Some 'big names' meant to be signing as well. Cue plenty of players from Greece and Cyprus being linked in the next few days.

"By the way another snippet, hot off the press, we are looking to sign up to another 7 players.............................including the couple of big names I mentioned."

Interesting.

Doesn't look likely from Bruce's comments yesterday. The most likely would appear on the surface to be Todorov and Hendrie, but we've all been banging on about these players for months now whereas nobody had even mentioned Joseph-Desire Job until he got linked by his agent live on TV.

In summary, it could be anyone (apart from Jason Koumas).

Or Robbie Fowler or Freddy Eastwood.

EDIT: Or Manuel Pablo.

I'm a bit late into this thread. Someone pro-Job tell me why he'd be such an exciting signing, his statistics are woeful.

All Premiership appearances, a lot of which were from the right wing.

Big, strong, fairly quick, scored a few goals in Ligue 1 last season.

I wouldn't say I was "pro-Job" but his statistics aren't woeful.
