Or Robbie Fowler or Freddy Eastwood.

EDIT: Or Manuel Pablo.

This is going to drive you mad but I'm not going to rule out Fowler yet. We've reportedly got an offer on Lee Hendrie's table for £20,000 a week (i.e. similar sort of thing to what Fowler will be forced to settle for) and Mandaric may see him as the sort of big-name signing that will appeal to the fans.

"By the way another snippet, hot off the press, we are looking to sign up to another 7 players.............................including the couple of big names I mentioned."

Interesting.

Wasn't MM quoted as 5/6 players in the Sporting Blue before Hayes signed? I suppose he could have meant 5/6 in addition to those already at/training with the club :dunno:

Very exciting times!!

Need to get them in before the friendlies so we can gel them together.

Aye, there's nothing like a game against Quorn for team building.

I'm a bit late into this thread. Someone pro-Job tell me why he'd be such an exciting signing, his statistics are woeful.

Averaged a goal about every 2 games for a team in France's top league last season. A ratio even top scorer Pauleta didn't beat, plus Job's team got relegated. He got 9 goals in 20 starts.

46 caps for Cameroon, is no mean feat either.

Ok. :)

Come on then Babs, tell us your wonderful rumour. It seems like the in thing is to try and be like Dannyboy11 at the moment so you might as well do the same.

Yeah like my Morfaw and Kaebi info was sooo wrong. My mouth will remain shut now.

NO DEAL FOR JOB

City are still hopeful of landing two or three more players as soon as possible, but former Middlesbrough Joseph-Desire Job will not be one of them. Allen said a deal could not be agreed with his French club Sedan.
