STUHILL Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 So do you think we our done in the strikers department now? We got Hume, Cort, Fryatt, DJ, Sappleton, Hammond, Devries, Dodds. I guess the most likely four would be Hume, Cort, Fryatt and DJ. If Fryatt stays then I guess that is ok but if he goes then we have to consider Fowler or McLeod to replace him. I can only see us signing another striker if Fryatt goes.
Manwell Pablo Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 We will in todays climate, if we were buying him and Fryatt now rather than a couple of years ago you'd be quoted about £1.5m each. I don't agree with that though Babs, Tranmere needed money and Walsall needed money. They were clever buys .
Bluefoxtim Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Hume, Cort, Fryatt and DJ. I still don't think those 4 would get us promotion...
Babylon Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 I don't agree with that though Babs, Tranmere needed money and Walsall needed money. They were clever buys . I'm talking about the climate of transfers, I agree about them being good deals. I'm saying if they were in league one now still performing how they were at the time we signed them you would be quoted as much as £1.5m.
STUHILL Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 I still don't think those 4 would get us promotion... I share your concern. Do you think we will still be looking though? I'm not sure whether MM and MA have always had the idea of bringing 2 in or one from the many we've been linked with, I.e now we have DJ does that mean we will pull out of race for Fowler and Izale!? I hope not but realistically we are probably finished buying strikers unless Fryatt goes. Maybe we are holding on to Fryatt to see whether we can get Fowler. If we do then perhaps he is off to Preston!
Manwell Pablo Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 I think it's safe to say we wont be bidding for Izale now. Not unless someone leaves and for good money. We've spent a good 2.6 Million at least.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 I think it's safe to say we wont be bidding for Izale now. Not unless someone leaves and for good money. We've spent a good 2.6 Million at least. If we sell Fryatt and buy Izale, can I have your M&S socks please?
Manwell Pablo Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 If we sell Fryatt and buy Izale, can I have your M&S socks please? No, they will go to Matty as a good bye present.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 No, they will go to Matty as a good bye present. F**k you and yer poxy funeral then!
Stevosevic Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Surprised we havn't heard from DJ and MA yet considering the press conference was two and a half hours ago.
Phlashman Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Just seen the press conf. They certainly have a good relationship and it's clear Dudley gets MA's sense of humour. Highlights: "Let just make it clear, we're a bigger club than the one he's come from" "When you see that gold tooth it's magic..... all the rest of his teeth are yellow!" It looks like MA is over the moon with the signing and rightly so. Here's hoping he starts baning them in.
Benji Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Surprised we havn't heard from DJ and MA yet considering the press conference was two and a half hours ago. Its on lcfc.com now Funny interview, let's hope for the best
THE MAGICIAN Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Its on lcfc.com nowFunny interview, let's hope for the best I agree, quality interview it cracked me up and I am starting to love MA more and more by the second. Absolute legend already. I can finally put Martin O'neil to rest. Going to stick my neck out and make a very bold prediction. We will win the league and Dudley Campbell will be top scorer so I will be having a little flutter on the double. EASY MONEY PEOPLE "GET ON "
bringbackWalshie Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 The shirt looks better on him than previous signings. Very pleased with this signing definately think he'll get at least 15 goals. Do hope we don't sign fowler now, never wanted him besides his goals to game ratio! He hasn't scored freely since he first left liverpool and i don't care how good he was. He would struggle to get 10 goals for us. His movement off the ball is still good but he's then struggled to get into goal scoring positions. Come on DJ spin me another
Daggers Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 The shirt looks better on him than previous signings. He's the first one that looks genuinely delighted to be wearing it...either that or he's just a bit simple
Fez of Mahrez Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 The two are more than likely related. DJ and Elvis?
Flynny Posted 20 July 2007 Author Posted 20 July 2007 DJ and Elvis? No, Robbie Fowler and Dean Gaffney.
Finnegan Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 DJ and Elvis? 'Cos they're both black? You're proper racialist, like.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 'Cos they're both black? You're proper racialist, like. Proper KKK, me.
The People's Hero Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Proper KKK, me. In da hood. They wear hoods. Right? Is this post going anywhere? No. No, it isn't. Digest that, amigos.
Rocky Dennis Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Very pleased with this signing, looks a good player to me. Couldnt give a monkeys how much we've paid, Milans money innit!
Guest Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 I'd have thought we'd be looking to keep 4 forwards in Cort, DJ, Hume and Fryatt and maybe let Fryatt go if we can get Fowler in. so i dont see where the fryatt wil be off comes from
STUHILL Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 -----------Nielsen------------ ---Chambers---------N'Gotty-------Kisnorbo---------Mattock--- ---Kaebi-------------Clemence---Wesoloski---------Hayes---- Hume------Dj Campbell Potential 4-4-2 with the playes we currently have.
