Mickey O'Neil Posted 5 August 2007 Posted 5 August 2007 you have to laugh really!! no doubt they will appeal and get it reduced to about 8 Agree with this, although Leeds should consider themselves VERY lucky. They had their share granted in 'exceptional circumstances' & I can't remember where I read it, but they are the first team out of 13??? to be granted the share, all the other teams have gone out of business. I truely believe that if this was Accrington Stanley, Rotherham or Stockport, then they wouldn't have been given the share and would have gone out of business. Because this is Leeds, they have been given another chance. The 15 point deduction should stick (but it won't)
Blue Bob Posted 5 August 2007 Posted 5 August 2007 Unfortunately, I still think they'll survive. I think the odds are well stacked against them. 1. They have sold most of their quality players 2. They are left with a very small squad - 26 according to their site and my guess is most of them are from the youth side. 9 of them have never played a league game. 3. Who would want to sign for them with their troubles. 4. Who ever they do sign they will not have been invloved in a pre-season so fitness and tactics will be a major issue at the start of the season 5. Wages arnt / havent been paid so morale is likely to be low 6. Do they have money to buy players? Or has the inland revenue had the transfer fees off them? 7. The fans are likely to be chanting to get Bates out - not what the team will want to hear. How ever this all stacks up it will be interesting to watch!!
Ultra Posted 5 August 2007 Posted 5 August 2007 They've sold a few players - Healy, Blake and Cresswell for a combined total of £2m+ Where the money's going remains to be seen - hopefully to pay the wages of the players that remain. And perhaps to pay off the poison dwarf, once his pal Bates is finally forced out.
teblin Posted 6 August 2007 Posted 6 August 2007 I would have though t it will be reduced to 10. The same as Rotherham last year,
Daggers Posted 6 August 2007 Posted 6 August 2007 Considering that the fifteen points was given as an alternative to simply not returning the share I see no reason why the points deduction should be changed.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 6 August 2007 Posted 6 August 2007 that really we be a shame hahalol it's a hard choice who i want to loose when they play forest but i will say forest to loose You know that dark sticky putrid smelling shit which takes you about half an hour to wipe from your arse-hole, well Leeds are neck high in that specimen people
Manwell Pablo Posted 6 August 2007 Posted 6 August 2007 http://www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,1...2643099,00.html Looks like the rebuilding is about to finally begin. Wise needs to get his arse in gear, 6 days till the start of the season. Didn't relise Constantine had been on trial there.

Constantine and Prutton are extremely good players at that level. It shows that their name can still attract decent players, relatively speaking - when really they should be a last resort for players given their financial problems.

The squads still going to be thin. Constantine is alright but he's no Healey, Cresswell or Blake.

They'll be even better in Division 4 if the 15 point deduction fits and they sign 2 year contracts
Manwell Pablo Posted 6 August 2007 Posted 6 August 2007 They'll be even better in Division 4 if the 15 point deduction fits and they sign 2 year contracts Ha, Wise doesn't seem to be looking at it the same way as you. "I just said we need 105 points to win the league and if you perform like that you have a chance.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 6 August 2007 Posted 6 August 2007 Ha, Wise doesn't seem to be looking at it the same way as you. That is lunacy. What a bellend.
Manwell Pablo Posted 6 August 2007 Posted 6 August 2007 That is lunacy. What a bellend. Well we already know how deluded the fans, they probabley think Ex European Champions Leeds united will cruise it even with a 15 point deduction. So I suppose so him and they are well suited.

I'm just a bit worried that your urine may have permeated his epidermis and will soon seize charge of his brain, your tactical nous steering them to 46 straight wins and a return to the Championship.
Raj Posted 6 August 2007 Posted 6 August 2007 IT GETS WORSE---FRIENDLY RESULT---: FT Guiseley 2-0 Leeds
Bryn Posted 6 August 2007 Posted 6 August 2007 They've had a fooking woeful preseason, they're going to do badly IMO.

Dames Posted 6 August 2007 Posted 6 August 2007 I hope they finish the season on minus points. Then Wise suddenly disappears. One can hope.
Wycombe Fox Posted 6 August 2007 Posted 6 August 2007 I'm going to have to find my incontinence pants from last season at this rate - PMSL LWICD - can you send me another pair please?
Steven Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 From the BBC rumours. Leeds fans have written to every League club pleading with them to back Ken Bates' appeal against their 15-point penalty. (The Sun) Bog off.

(The Sun) If City didn't listen to my ideas for massage chairs and semi-clad hostesses then I'm going to be mighty pissed off if this works out for the Leeds scum.
Simi Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 From the BBC rumours. Bog off. Do the right thing Milan. Let Bates take them in the right direction. DOWNNNNN, AGGGAIIIINN.
