adam Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 Then again whats to stop Forest "fans" getting hold of em,if they haven't allready Why would they want them?? They will just wait for us outside!
adam Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 This just proves the ticket office is a shambles.I think Leicester should re think the ticketing system .... Maybe go to a ballot? They have a good way usually. 3 priorities. Got a bit greedy here.
Ultra Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 They should have known demand would be high. Anyone remember the ZDS Cup games V Forest (92 or 93 I think). Sh1tty cup but tickets were like gold dust. btw, can anyone remember the last time we played Forest in the FA or League Cup? 88-89. We lost there 2-1 after a 0-0 draw at Filbo. We must have taken around 7000 there though!
PAULCFC Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 Why would they want them?? They will just wait for us outside! True!
Ultra Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 Well thank you very much Leicester Shitty, 40+ years a fan, 15+ years a ST holder, plenty of away games and fooked by incompetence yet again. They really are the pits and I bloody hate them. TWATS!!!!!! If half the tales on this thread are true, someone at the club, Chris Tinbergen or maybe even Tim Davies, has a lot of explaining to do. Anyone would think we've never arranged tickets for a big game before. Let's hope that the team shows a tad more organisation during the match!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 Whoever organised it so that there was just a week and a half's notice between the draw and the game should take a small part of the blame as well. Thursday is leaving it late for a general sale. My gripe isn't so much with this game in particular as in general the ridiculous amount of time people have to wait on hold for. I'll still be writing to the club.
adam Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 88-89. We lost there 2-1 after a 0-0 draw at Filbo. We must have taken around 7000 there though! didnt we play them early 90's in FA CUP at their place. Drew 0-0. Or was that the league. Its been a while
Samilktray Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 So theyve sold out the 4000 or so. Is there going to be any more or not ? Sorry if this is a stupid question im just a bit confused
mb2251 Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 We have sold our 15% of the capacity so I don't think Forest have to give us any more... (and may not have the facilities to do so?)
Flynny Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 Mate had to fill a pre-order form out. I don't know if that means we got any or not.

I'll still be writing to the club. I was just going to say the same thing, the league cup this season seems an after thought from the FA, they don't want it getting in the way of the precious 4 in the champions league and even Englands euro 2008 qualifiers. I still dont think it excuses the way the club has handled this. If it wern't for foxestalk I'd never have known about general sale today and we planned to go in at about 2ish to get ours, thinking we'd had loads of time. People who missed out particularly season ticket holders have every right to be annoyed.
Sods Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 JUST TO CONFIRM before somebody else asks. WE HAVE SOLD OUR ALLOCATION OF 4400. IF YOU BOUGHT A TICKET BEFORE 1.15, YOURE GOING. LEICESTER HAVE ASKED FOR MORE TICKETS IF YOU GOT THROUGH AFTER 1.15 YOU WILL BE THE FIRST ONES TO GET YOUR TICKETS (unless you have been told youve got your tickets) IF WE ARE ALLOWED MORE TICKETS.

One day of priority is very poor to be honest even if there's only a week and a half from the draw to the game. The club must have known what the interest in these tickets would be like. And to change information without clearly letting people know is also very poor. I do feel for those S.T holders who couldn't get hold of a ticket, it's not good service from the club at all.
Tevez Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 Cudn't believe my eyes and ears when people were buying 10 tickets. Fooking Joke.
Floating Fox Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 To be fair, the club didnt think the demand would be this big, they've always done that for cup games when the game is next week. Syaing that, I'de be proper pissed if I didnt have a ticket. PROPER PISSED. But I have one. Joe & ld3 = Gods

There are season ticket holders going without tickets and Part time plebs buying 10 and selling them on at knocked up prices. That just isn't right.

Spot on, but your telling me you could have predicted this mate, I was going to get my tix on Thursday originally  And tbh i thought we'd only just manage the original 2k of fans. My best advise would be to complain and maybe PJ would give you some tickets. Sometimes forest give the lower tier along the side (For BIG allocations- I remember Spurs did) so maybe we'll get some more Can't fecking wait
stripeyfox Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 Any idiot club secretary from any club in the country should know that a second round League Cup game would not generate huge demand UNLESS you happen to draw you biggest local rivals who you haven't played for a while. For £16 it was fooking obvious that a club like City would easily sell 4000 seats. Given that, you would think they could come up with a fair way of ensuring those tickets were distributed in a fair manner.
Granno Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 What do you think the chances are of getting another allocation of tickets. Gutted I didn't order yesterday

The ticket office is evidently run by idiots and has been for years. No other viable business in the world can pay absolute idiots the amount our club does (playing and non-playing staff) and make it so sodding difficult for customers to spend money with them.
Tommeh Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 Where the **** are all these 4400 fans for the league games about a quater of that figure were at palace on saturday, and I'm willing to bet that out of those that did go palace around 3-400 will not be going forest due to the ludacris ticketing methods. sometimes I don't even think st holders should get the best priority for games like this, it should be the ones who got drenched at Accrington, the ones who spent near on £100 for a day at palace, and the ones who constantly follow city round the country spending fortunes.
