Apparently if you masturbate you should have your hand cut off as punishment. One poster said he locked his son in the basement as punishment then slit his throat. There are some who have taken this serious. One reply said well I hope he learned from that. No it will give him more time alone to do it again and will either grow up as another deluded moron or hating his parents.

There is one who is threatening to report a page called I love fu**ing science because they posted a link that says it is good for you.

I'm half expecting the one who set up the page to turn out to be a hoaxer..

Found out the 9000 words of my dissertation I'd written also were bullsh*t so I've had to scrap the lot.

I decided to do a bit of lunchtime research on masturbation and christianity.

 

Apparently the Bible doesn't explicitly state that masturbation is a sin - it is the lustful thoughts leading to masturbation that is the sin.

 

Also, in Matthew 5:27-30, Jesus says "if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away".

 

Now, as most religious cranks seem to be able to interpret anything they want to hear from anything written in the Bible, I'll make my own interpretation of Matthew 5:27-30.

 

It's OK to bash the bishop or ring the devil's doorbell with your left hand.

Had dentist appointment.

 

Don't know why but I felt very nervous both before (in waiting room) and whilst having it, felt as if I was frozen, but still got through it - hate just being sat there and not being able to move.

 

Must be one of those things.

I sympathise. I tend to get nervous at dental appointments too. But, once it's done and you get through it, there is the relief afterwards I suppose or at least that's how I feel. Hope it went ok for you.

Hate dentists. Mind you, I've had a bad experience with my teeth in my life so far. Had an accident when I was younger which knocked my front four out. In my younger school pictures I don't have any front teeth

After years of having a visa, I forgot about ESTA. I was transferring in J'burg to the US, and I was able to do ESTA on my phone in the airport. Phew.

Just finished a load of set work just in time for the deadline (today). Although I had only 2 of the 4 pieces of work to do, it still took a long time and a lot of hard work to do in order for completion to a good enough level. Not happy with the situation and what I'm doing at the moment, but there's no other choice for me really.
