Missus just had a phone call that burglars have ransacked her Mums house in Barry Drive, Kirby Muxloe this evening, nothing apparently taken, just two doors smashed and the place trashed. House was empty at the time.

However, my mother in law is 88 this week, suffering from severe dementia, been a widow since 1972 and has lived on her own all that time until earlier this year. Forensics blokes are there into morning, but really just for appearances sake.

Fortunately, the MIL doesn't realise what's happened and all will be cleared up / repaired in a couple of days, but feel exceptional anger towards the perpetrators targeting the home of an 88 year old dementia sufferer.

Thats fooking appalling, absolute scum.Hope you are all aright CJ.

Just had a smashing night with Mrs Col (to be) sat in the study listening and singing to music with me on FM16 and she on some Cookie Mania game or summat that she plays. Nice. Enjoyed it,

"Another fiiiine day in paradise guvnor " promised the beach seller this morning ... Except it wasn't quite. Apart from feeling like we'd lost when we actually hadn't and are still (just) top of the league, Mrs CF had a run in with a woman who looked like a Rottweiler and nicked our little beach table. Resolved after a while though much to my relief as Mr Rottweiller was a massive bugger. Had a nice meal earlier tonight during which Mrs CF kept pointing to people with reddish coloured hair wondering if they were Basil the Hatton Garden blagger who is on the run ... ( there's a big reward apparently) ....... I hadn't got the heart to tell her he was wearing a wig as part of his disguise.

I hope not for Col's sake, having seen his attempted goal-line clearance v. Spurs yesterday.

He'd drop the ring down a drain outside the register office.

I though Col was securely married off, anyway. Has his missus demanded a renewal of their vows due to the amount of time he spends on FoxesTalk?

Crap day to be honest.

Mrs Col to be was out with her girlie friends last night and was wasted! She ended up in the Lamplighters and got her shiny new iPhone 6s nicked. According to the barman today, the coppers were visiting as she weren't the only one.

She's distraught to be honest. Phone had all her contacts on, etc etc.

Nightmare when you have your phone half-inched by some toerag scum of the earth.

Probably the same scum that nicked Sol thewall Bambas flag.

Hopefully the missus had it insured col. Also the good things about iPhones is that you can back them up. So if she had done that the next time she gets another iPhone she will have all her contacts & photos back on it.

I'm in a lottery syndicate at work and just found out we were 1 number away from £68,000.

I had that once. If 25 had come up I'd have had around £50,000 ,24 came up instead.

They worth joining? always thought it would be cheaper to join one than play myself.

There's 6 of us in it so basically £2 a week gets me 6 tickets.

We just save it throughout the year then at Christmas we all just go out for a few beers & something to eat.

ouch.

do one with my family. 1 line each so £10 each week.

Won £1400 last summer which technically pays for nearly 3 years worth of lottery syndicates if we stick at £10 each week. (obviously not going to do this and spend it on something better!).

Pretty much every week we win a free lucky dip.

Definitely worth doing.

I like doing the general lottery/health lottery. The way I see it if you win the jackpot then obviously it's absolutely fantastic, but if not you're giving the money to charities anyway which is always a good thing of course.  :)

Second exam today, and the only real essay based exam in my whole degree (maths and stats, this was a maths education module).

Went okay, but 5 minutes in I got the worst cramp of all time in my hand and couldn't move my thumb without it flaring up again. Agony for the 90 minutes - I can certainly tell that I haven't wrote a full paragraph by hand in absolutely ages, let alone an essay.

Think I managed to blag my way through it. Now just onto revision for my next one on Wednesday. This time next Tuesday I'll be done, thankfully.

What ever you are doing with that hand i'd lay off it for a bit. Good luck with the exams !

Haha, should've seen that coming...

Cheers though - 3 more to go, then the dissertation and summer exams. Uni has flown by ridiculously quickly.

-1 out people

wrap up warm

Surely not ... The chap who just handed me yet another frothy ice cold beer said it was a lot lot warmer than that. I tend to believe him so will carry on just wearing my swimming trunks for now.
