I waded through 13 pages of the "it's megson" thread without anyone actually providing evidence other than rumour. Is there any hope that Megson is a craftily planted rumour to make us all mightily pleased with whoever else is appointed ? No ? Oh crap...

When Megson joined Forest it was announced that Burrows would come in as assistant however Burrows pulled out for personal reasons. Baggies fans at the time suggested that Megsons success at West Brom was more to do with Burrows than Megson, as Burrows was the bridge between the players and the manager. He was the arm around the shoulder type to Megsons PE teacher type - apparently well respected, it was a formula that worked (mostly). When Burrows pulled out of coming to Forest, Megson instead appointed Frank Barlow as assistant. It seems, from this official statement, that Burrows is indeed Leicester bound too, so you will see if that works. At Forest, we never saw him. Still think its a bad appointment for you guys, but its a sliver of hope you can cling onto in this very dark day
