Manwell Pablo Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 I find it amusing that a guy who can have such a good game at Palace away should suddenly be a player we want rid of.Apart from us playing him out of position, Porter like everyone else, now has to adapt to a new manager's requirements and if we are going to abandon the passing game which, however nebulous, reflected some promise of general improvement for our team, then I too wonder about the future here for Porter. But if he does become a cast off, either sooner or later, he won't be the only one because virtually all our promising youngsters are good passers and quality footballers rather than hoofers. And I worry now for all their futures. Because, while, to me it would have been logical to pick a manager whose style and philosophy cogged in with the way the youngsters are developed in the Academy, Megson, to me is the last person to favour such an approach. He didn't look that good at Palace, he just looked alot better than Sheehan who had been utter tripe. I share your Megson reservations but I'd of thought you'd of learnt your lesson about calling for managers heads after one game last time!

He had a bit of impact when he burst on to the scene as compared to the rest of our squad, he was okay and also, he was an unknown quantity to other teams. He's got a stinking attitude and not a huge amount of ability. I'd get shot. I'm off to read through the threads now and find Thracian's thought on it... I'll bet it's Fryatt's fault somehow.

There was a difference. There was reactionary anger and frustration involved the first time. From everything that was said to me yesterday by various Forest fans at Melton Market, Saturday was typical Megson. He'll have a chance to shut them up tomorrow but they weren't half taking the piss. There's no anger in what I feel about Megson. I just feel sad for the club and dejected about the sort of footbal I think we'll see.

Classic post, Thats why levi was soooooo brilliant on the weekend only time i heard him on the radio was when he was loseing the ball. I think he would make a great keeper as he has the skills necessary
