It's about time Megson started getting the credit he deserves, I supported Martin Allen's time at the club but it's plainly obvious that Megson is a far better manager. His organisational skills have had an instant impact on the team. Some people on here should look through their pre-conceived prejudice and give the bloke a chance.

I agree.

There's more than one way to be successful and Megson seems to have picked a sensible basic method for the players at his disposal.

Once Hayes got injured and Gradel went on loan I could never really understand us playing 4-4-2 and said so on various occasions.

I wondered if it would ever happen but Megson has picked arguably our strongest teams on most given days. He has clearly impressed on the players exactly what he expects in terms of their role in the side, their general attitude/competitiveness on the pitch and their collective focus.

If he can maintain the levels of concentration he's established and, having tackled the defence. make us more creative and dangerous in attack then our club really might begin to earn some respect again.

Tactical errors apart I'd give Megson 7/10 for his achievements so far and that's more than I expected.

He seems to at least recognise what makes a basic but potentially match-winning footballer which has not always been the case at City these recent seasons.

If he can prove skillful enough to mix in some quality with the basics then he has every chance of climbing the steps to the springboard which could launch us into the Premiership.

He's talked some sense. About reducing our squad and only bringing in people who will make a difference and improve what's already there.

And from his comments I've heard no reason to believe he cannot continue to make further progress. Starting hopefully with our shoddy home form and the reasons for it.

All good points, but like I say I am not going to sing his praises just yet! Not Convinced.

They took the flag down because it belonged to the chap that got kicked out. He's a twat anyway. He just loves singing we hate nottingham all the time...which can get very annoying.

There you go Sheff Wed 0 Leicester 2

This is the team i posted to play V Sheff Wed and you all said it was the worst team in the history of Foxes Talk, check my posts if you don't believe me

Leicester: Fulop, Kisnorbo, N'Gotty, McAuley, Stearman, Chambers, Newton, Sheehan, King (Kenton 74), Hume (Campbell 61), Fryatt (Cort 61).

Subs Not Used: Henderson, Kishishev.

Heres the team that played. 8 of the starting 11 were in my chosen team. 2 of my bench players played also Hume and Campbell.

Not such a bad team now is it and what was the score? 2-0 Leicester

I was right about something!

It was a professional yet uninspiring performance today. To a large extent I share Mark's concerns about Megson - it's not just that we play dour defensive football under Megson, it's that Megson sets out a team intended to play dour and defensive football.

Two cracking corners from Sheehan, and some abysmal defending from Wednesday sealed the win. We never looked like we wanted to score any more even though Wednesday were atrocious and we could've pummelled them if we tried. There were a few occasions when we broke with speed and Fryatt and Hume were always lively, but nobody else seemed determined to take a gamble/attempt a shot.

I was disappointed that Megson brought both Hume and Fryatt off, when they were causing all sorts of problems for the Wednesday defenders. Cort and Campbell were ineffective again. Further, Kenton coming on in place of King was a disgusting substitution, and it was Kenton's error in midfield which almost cost us a goal (except for Fulop's excellent save).

Overall, professional performance and comfortable 3 points. From a footballing spectacle it was horrible, we scored the goals and shut up shop for 70 minutes. But Wednesday were hopeless and there will be much tougher games to come, so I'm not getting excited just yet.

I'm well confused, Leicester have won, England have beat Australia at rugby, Hamiltons on pole for Sunday.

wtf is going on.

And Khan is getting booed well funny.

More reaction to come after the boxing.

Yeah.

The grey vest? (Didn't go today but saw a bloke in a grey vest at Palace and Charlton) he seems a right twat, He's trying to fight a Leicester fan at Palace at the end of the game, then at Charlton he thought he was the dog's bollocks.

Under these circumstances, I'm the same as this! I didn't feel alot when we beat the Villa, or lost to Charlton, and it's the same today and being honest I absolutely hate it cause I love LCFC.

I'm just a fan of football JTB, and through my entire life I have a huge hatred for those people in football that spoil it for the neutral. Megson is one of those and I hate him as our manager. But, I hope it'll pass and things get better.

Shame Fulop's price tag is increasing by the week.

Feel free to point out the glorious period when we have ever played like Brazil...

I'm stabbing in the dark here - you weren't at Villa Park. Me? I was pretty ****ing happy when that goal went in and twice as delighted at the final whistle.

There seems to be this ever-growing hankering for some kind of Golden Age of total football that people seem to think has existed in England at some point since the war. It hasn't.

Football has always been about grinding out wins and draws.

Keegan shone out in his approach with Newcastle simply because he was different...and eventually a failure. Sure, I'd love to see 48 passes culminating in a bicycle kick into the top left corner every game but that isn't going to happen. I'd love to see us take teams 5-4...but more than that, bearing in mind the pathetic squad we have, I'm more than happy to see us simply pick up three ****ing points.

I think there's a load of you that need to find an anal-bug-removing implement. Bitching about Megson being "negative" is dull, short-sighted and naive.

Fantastic, a win away from home and a clean sheet. On a ground we've been dogshit on in recent years as well. Consistency is the key, though. Megson needs to keep the wins coming if he's to make me a fan.

I've very rarely seen City play brilliant football, but at the same time I haven't seen the opposition do it on too many occasions, bar occasional thrashings against Arsenal, Man Utd etc, which is why I think it's been a bit rich that Leicester City has had to endure a reputation for particularly ugly football during a number of periods in recent times.

After the shite served up for the last 3 seasons I'd happily settle for the entertainment of occasionally winning at home and aren't going to get too upset about the style with which it's achieved. If Megson manages this then he's a big improvement on what we've had of late and should be given credit accordingly. I'd rather it was achieved with great football, but that's a luxury that City may not be able to be afford - the priority is points on the board and you get them any way you can.

I don't think Megson has been particularly negative anyway. If he hadn't arrived at the club with a reputation for defensive play then no one would have batted an eye lid at what he's done so far. No one seemed bothered when we were winning games under MON playing 5-3-2 so I'm not sure why some people are moaning about it now
