He should gamble on Taggart at least he has a connection with the club

No.No.No

This is exactly what we don't need right now.

Jamie is an unknown. Why would Milan go for him?

Grayson would be the type of guy I can see him going for. It'd be good. Grayson plays a O'Niell style of football

Go for it Milan

Either way I doubt we'll have a new bod for a week or so, if Mandaric's to be believed. He admits he rushed into previous appointments in slight desperation. That interview with him on the Beeb website's quite good, really.

Mandaric on his next manager:

"I want a stable guy with some loyalty, who signs a contract and doesn't leave in six weeks."

Martin Allen on his next club?:

"I want a stable Chairman with some loyalty, who signs a contract and doesn't sack me after six weeks."

I think he's a complete twatcock who talks utter rumpshit.

Would totally agree with that. Did you see Everton vs. Liverpool, Peter Reid was about to tw*t him one had Keys not calmed things down with his gorilla like torso...

Instead of a 'harry', what about a 'barry', as in Barry Fry, he has loads of experience at being a tw@t!!!

Still at Peterborough in some capacity or another.

Would be a bad idea if he came here anyway, he's had two heart attacks, the rate we're getting through managers I'd put money on him having another one inside six weeks.

Fcuk Pulis. Tw*t.

Grayson - great Guy, Great Legend, has O'Neils style etc etc BUT, hasn't got ENOUGH experience in warranting his appointment as boss for a promotion challenging team. However, worth a gamble, cant be anyworse situation than now.

My Personal Favourite would be Jewell. However, I'm realistic.

So step forward Dean Thomas....

Gets results though.

Count his promotions, shouldn't take long, you'll need 1 finger/thumb, I'll let you choose.

1995/96 - Gillingham, equivilent of league 2, runners-up.

1 other valliant season where they lost to Man City in the Play-Off final and that's the sum of his promotion achievements.

He's very good at keeping teams in a division, you need someone to keep you up? Pulis is a specialist. You need someone to get you promotion? Leave well alone

FOR ****S SAKES

Can we please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, PLEASE drop all this "Oh he's a great City legend!" shit.

WHO CARES!? Martin O'Neill played for FOREST, Alex Ferguson played most of his games for Falkirk and never so much as kicked a ball for an English club, let alone Man Yoo! Bill sodding Shankly had as much to do with Liverpool as a player as I do with Schalke and Jose Mourinho was a focking Translator!

Drop it. End of. The crowd don't need cheap gimics, the current crop of players (sans Stearman) don't give a toss who took us to the Milk Cup Final and being a good player DOESN'T make you a good manager!

Yeah but I still want Ian Marshall as manager.

Perhaps Martin Allen should behave properly as a human being then if he wants that from his next chairman.

Yeah - and he's depriving someone somewhere of a first name.

Smith Jones is said to be gutted.

at least he has a connection with the club

What does that matter?

Did Mourinho have any connection with Chelsea? Ferguson with Man Poo, Wenger with Arsenal?

I think having a connection with the club is probably a bad thing. Why risk your good reputation with fans that once idolised you by getting involved in something that there's a very good chance won't work out, and at worst could be an absolute disaster and have you remembered forever as a useless divot
