This constant buying never selling attitude is getting silly now, if we don't sell anyone this month we'll probabley have nearly 50 players on our books. I reckon we're not attempting to build a football team any more, I think we've decided that we're so shit we're never going up through conventional methods, so instead we're going to buy an army (headed by general Howard) borrow some guns off Elvis Hammond (ankle) and march on Soho square, and demand promotion to the Premier League.

Mandaric tells Holloway: "you must sell before you buy"

Yeah, right.

Or with the amount of players and managers we have we could just setup our own league, that way Leicester will always win!

Yeah......although with Mandaric's sparkling football brain, he'd call our League....Football League 1.... :crylaugh:

I don't believe it to be fact....everything is rumour on here until it happens.......however re Des Bulpin, I heard there's a'courtin' going on with QPR.....

As for the window....how can anyone say it's going well when Fulop and Norris ( two absoloute main targets ) aren't coming, unless we pay a fortune. Everyone knows threequarters of the business to do with deals is done before January......Dosen't sound like much interest in our guys, and their rather large wage packets, who are not wanted.......that's not good either....we need money in to keep Mandaric happy to pay money out...oh! ....and we lost badly to a poor QPR, our relegation rivals, on Tuesday. How can anyone say January is going well?

Has anyone said the window is going well?

Has anyone said January is going well?

It's about as bonkers as saying it's a complete disaster.

I certainly haven't

We have signed two players, one a proven striker who you have stated looks like a decent signing. How have you come to the conclusion that it is not going well when the window has been open for

TWO AND A HALF DAYS

Dan gosling to everton 1.5m so no chance of norris!

Are Everton attempting to make a second string team full of young players that can't hold down places in League one/Championship teams.

Aha - the Leicester model is catching on at last. I knew it would.

If Norris wants to leave he will leave...Plymouth may not be so desperate for the money having just sold Gosling but if it's a choice of getting £2m now for Norris or nothing in 18 months they will have little choice but to let him leave now

Norris is a good player but I certainly wouldn't pay £2million for him.

Heck, what would I do with him? I mean I don't fancy him. And I certainly don't have £2million.

maybe you wouldn't but if we want him that's what we have to pay as that is Plymouth's valuation of him having rejected £1.5m from Ipswich

What?

We do not need to sell as his contract isnt up untill 2009, and I think we will be able to sell him on in the summer if we fail to gain promotion.

I think he would be closer to 2.5 anyway as we have to give half to Bolton if we sell him for 2million we only get 1 million and he definately better than that.

If Norris wants to leave Plymouth then the choice for them is a sizeable amount of money now for him or 18 months of a disiinterested unsettles player followed by him leaving for free

I know which option I choose if I was the Plymouth chairman!

Waste of money if that get's accepted, they don't need a right winger, Walters has been excellent for Ispwich all season.

Been rejected.

To be fair to the player though.... you dont really know if he would have that attitude, after all he was happy to sign the contract in the first place.

And 18 months is quite a time, it is the rest of this season and the whole of next so why should Plymouth let him go for what they see as a low price?

Dont forget they will be looking at the best interest of Plymouth FC, not LCFC or anyone else for that matter

I did specify IF Norris wants to leave. If he doesn't want to leave then he'll no doubt sign a new contract with a healthy pay rise and everyone in Plymouth is smiling

IF he wants to leave then of course it's a different story

Never said you were in debt did I? I said you are SKINT as in no money to buy players unless you sell (YOU ARE A SELLING CLUB) as are all clubs who only pull 12,000 -14,000 through the gates in the championship. Thats what enabled us to nick Holloway from you (REMEMBER). You said that you would be very surprised if Norris doesnt sign a new contract with us (Plymouth), Well all fans must be aloud to dream, but the stone cold reality is Norris will almost certainly go in the Jan transfer window to whoever, as he is a wanted commodity....And I am sure you won't be "Surprised" if its to Leicester City FC. :scarf:

Firstly if he was going to sign for you he would have come with Bazza, 150k for Norris and 1.5million for barry therfore we keep 1.5 and bolton get 75k.

secondly he really does love it down here, he is playing first team football and the best football of his career and unlike yourselves(this season, so dont bite my head off)stands a genuine chance of making the playoffs.

If they lose as many players as it looks like they are the Plymouth fans are going to look like complete fools.

Hayles, Gosling, Norris, Buzsaky...perhaps even more. That will vindicate Holloway's decision imo.

Gosling has been scouted by Everton for at least a season so Ollie knew of there interest, He got rid of Buszaky and brought Hayles into the proffessional game so none of these transfers will vindicate anything, he left purely and simply for the money.

If he came out and said that, all the bad feeling would have ran its course by now and we would happily sell you are players, but he didnt and still maintains its down to some evil plan by the board.

He knows which players want to come a nd go and judging by the fact all you got is a thirty five year old striker it is him who is possibly a fool.

By the way nice piece of transfernegotiating skill by Ollie, Martin Fulop isnt worth that, and Man Utd in rack em stack em shocker boo boo boo Fergie and Keano wont let Ollie have any new toys.(Lee martin and fulop).

Soz couldnt resist that one.
