FleckneyFox Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 TBH im not to concerned Ollies going to do his stuff in the transfer market and until 1st Feb i hope we can keep chugging along picking up a couple of results. QPR are playing well at the moment and it was always going to be a tough game. OOOH Barnsley just done us a favour we're not in bottom 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ozwin Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 I tell you what we need, we need a bloody substitute goalkeeper. I don't care about him being the last in line of defence, but Henderson is abysmal. Get him out and get in someone in who's not having a hell of a lot of fun in the Premiership. What happened to Carlo Nash? He was a good keeper, decent 2nd choice and he's probably in the reserves of whatever Premier league team he went to. Get in Fulop, then get in someone as a reserve. Henderson is a joke.
AoWW Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 Not in bottom 3 though - 4th from bottom, now - due to Barnsley goal.
Solihullfox Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 ARRRGGGHHH.****ing hell. What is it Joe, cramp ? Trapped a finger in the door ? Or just the terrible nagging pain of despair of being a Leicester fan ?
Trav Le Bleu Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 Confirmation: wingers required Solution: buy wingers Arrival: imminent? Effect: more goals Result: ee ai ee ai ee ai ooo... etc And good old Barnsley!!!
Bluemoon Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 We're going to need more than 4 or 5 players to save us!!
lee7 Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 sh*t result but at least we created more chances to score than we normally do, we have just got to finish those chances.
Sly Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 Confirmation: wingers requiredSolution: buy wingers Arrival: imminent? Effect: more goals Result: ee ai ee ai ee ai ooo... etc And good old Barnsley!!! How about signing some football players in general?
Free Falling Foxes Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 We'll need to wait for those who were there but even if none of the goals were Hendo's fault; not having Fulop behind them would have an effect on the defence. We've offered Sunderland a million apparently. Perhaps we should make it two. FFF
Zingari Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 IH has taken a look at the mistakes made by MA and is determined to do the same thing , the last thing we need is a mass influx of more also ran players
FleckneyFox Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 Holloway hasnt mentioned a keeper as a definate target apart from bidding for Fulop if we dont get Fulop or another keeper we're officialy fooked
MC Prussian Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 Thank the Lord for Barnsley! Happy New Year, F**king Henderson!!
lee7 Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 i've said this in another thread mandaric needs to do whatever it takes to sign fulop (obviously within a reasonable price range) because he's the best goalkeeper we have had in ages.

Perhaps he considers £1mill the maximum limit of his reasonable price range in which case he will have already done what you ask.
Thracian Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 I don't think it helps blaming Henderson - and Matt Piper didn't consider he was to blame for any of the goals - but the sooner we stop pissing about over Fulop and pay a fair price for him the better. The thing about Fulop is his utter dependibility. No-one really worries when crosses go over because you always feel that Fulo will gbbble them up with minimum of trouble. And it is that "mimimum of trouble" which gives defenders such confidence. Having said that our defenders are nothing like as good as we think. Our defence needs constant reinforcing to remain safe. We could help ourselves by playing Sheehan at left back. Sheehan is every bit as good as Mattock defensively but adds so much more in an attackign sense - and I think most fans recognise that. We drew the part of the game Sheehan played today 0-0so were no worse defensively but we certainly made a few chances during that period and Sheehan was directly or indirectly involveed with two or three of them. We cannot afford to play both together. We also need to go back to having two centre-backs because three centre-backs is not guaranteeing a clean sheet so we'll be better off taking the initiative and making sure we score enough whatever the opposition do. Finally, unless we play 4-3-3 we have to get a right winger.

I depends what other deals he's got up his sleeve though as well. I'd like to see Fulop here but we lack in so many other areas as well to realise Milan's dream of being a Premiership team.
Bluemoon Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 IH has taken a look at the mistakes made by MA and is determined to do the same thing , the last thing we need is a mass influx of more also ran players I fear that is exactly what is going to happen. At this moment in time I feel we might be having to rely on other teams doing badly to keep us up

He probably is the better choice at this moment and time but theres little anyone can do about it.
