SamL Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 I realy want us to win this. The cup is our only hope for a bit of success this season seen as weve practically thrown away the league again this year. Bring it on Southampton scum time to pay you back! am oi right in saying that kicked us out the cup a few years back, woth a 96th!!! minute winner? Bastard referee's!!! Yeah they knocked us out FA Cup 4th Round Jan 06. Game after we beat Spurs. Kenwyne Jones came off the bench to score the winner Wasn't it Kelly's first game in charge as well?

Koke Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 Yeah they knocked us out FA Cup 4th Round Jan 06. Game after we beat Spurs. Kenwyne Jones came off the bench to score the winner Wasn't it Kelly's first game in charge as well? And a last minute winner at that. And they went on to get an away game at Newcastle.
Guest ttfn Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 Henderson Chambers N'Gotty Kisnorbo Sheehan A MIDFIELDER - APPLY WITHIN Wesolowski King Hume Howard Fryatt The longer we have to play our best right back (Chambers) and our most experienced defender (N'Gotty) in Centre Midfield, the more likely we are to get relegated
Zingari Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 just read the foxes v saints "head to head" in cup matches and we seem to have done alright , but we ain't got the likes of andy locchead or alan young at the mo though

I could have sworn it was 1-1 then Patrik Gerrbrand scored a last minute own goal?
SamL Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 Kenwyne Jones scored the winner? I could have sworn it was 1-1 then Patrik Gerrbrand scored a last minute own goal? Nope, it was given to Jones.

Wycombe Fox Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 Just back from holiday over Christmas so Happy New Year to you all! Got my tickets for tomorrow's game - there's 12 of us in my group going over to the North Island so if the club have sold only 1300 tickets that makes us nearly 1% of the City support! Looking forward to the match but I don't think we'll win (high treason!) - we never seem to play well at Southampton. And what's happened whilst I've been away? One win, two draws, a defeat, Fulop's gone and a bit of an attempted clearout! You turn your back for one minute and...

But we do beat Barnsley regularly.
Thracian Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 Well I'm not going. With our League position as it is I don't give a shit about the Cup right now anyway. More important I'm so disenchanted with our continued lack of progress as a football club that I begrudge the time and money. There are very few players in or around the Leicester City side I'd pay to watch as a matter of choice and, with Fulop gone, that's one less. The Charlton game did it for me ... as soon as we started pissing about trying to play out time. That's not what I pay to see and, worse than that, it showed that no-one at our club ever learns despite the obscene sums of money they are paid. We make the same stupid mistakes time and again. Despite all the changes in personnel over the last four years do we have one single player we can really look forward to watching because they're a bit special? People like Davie Gibson, Graham Cross, Shilts, Guppy, Muzzy, Frank Worthington, Derek Dougan, Len Glover, Mike Stringfellow, Howard Riley, Derek Hogg, Andy Lochhead, Tony Cottee, Gary Lineker, Emile Heskey, Julian Joachim, Keith Weller. We always had one or two even in the darkest times. Now, there's almost no-one with even a sprinkling of that special talent or charisma that sets people apart. We have huff and puff but hardly anyone with any imagination. We must be the only people in the entertanment inudstry that doesn't make any serious effort to thrill people. For the record I think we'll win tomorrow. We've got nothing to lose so we'll have a go as we usually do in the Cup. But we won't take that attitude and approach forward into our League games. It'll be back to the boring philosophy of trying to grab a goal and hold onto it. Back to being so scared of losing we daren't play properly.
Bernie's Love Child Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 I have a feeling we might get a draw out of them.....
mancunianfox Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 5-1 to Southampton. Vincent Pericard to get a hat-trick on his Saints debut.
leeleic Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 It'll be an awful game of football, for both sides. Not what the F.A. cup should be about. We will win, but in the ugliest possible way yet IH will speak to the press announcing his delight at our commitment ect, ect!

WetFlannel Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 We were terrible against them at home so i doubt we will get anything away...

Bert Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 SOUTHAMPTONCurrent form No win in five. Recent FA Cup performance The 2003 losing finalists, made the last eight three years ago, the last 16 two years ago and the last 32 last year. FA Cup fact Upset the odds by beating Manchester United 1-0 in the 1976 final. Bobby Stokes' angled shot defeated Alex Stepney and handed the likes of Mick Channon and Peter Osgood a winners' medal in Lawrie McMememy's most memorable achievement in management. LEICESTER CITY Current form One win in 10; and without victory in five on the road. Recent FA Cup performance Fell at the third round hurdle twice in the last six years, including last season when Fulham were the better by the odd goal in seven. The Manager Ian Holloway guided Plymouth to the quarter-finals last season. The lowest ranked surviving club in the last eight and the only representatives outside the Premier League lost 0-1 to Watford at Home Park on the eve of Holloway's 44th birthday. FA Cup fact The Foxes have lost on all four occasions they have reached the Wembley final, the most recent being 1969. HEAD to HEAD All competitions Southampton are looking to beat Leicester for the third successive time and second occasion this season. Stern John scored and Andrew Surman converted a second half penalty, as the Saints prevailed 1-2 at the Walkers Stadium on 1 December. FA Cup This is the sixth time these clubs have been drawn together in the competition; Leicester lead by three wins to two. Replay bound?? *Lawro has tipped us to win 2-1*
demon_dog Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 Be a big surprise if we win on our current form. Hope we do, then land one of the big premiership clubs in the next round at the Walkers. It would be nice to see a full ground again.
Brainy Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 *Lawro has tipped us to win 2-1* Yeah I just read that - shocking. He always predicts us to lose.
