Legend_in_blue Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 Alnwick, Strearman, Bruno, Kisnorbo, Mattock, Bori, Weso, Oakley, Lascko, DJ, Howard. Subs- Hume, Clemence, Chambers, Clapham, Fryatt. Team should be something like this... Alnwick Chambers Bruno Kisnorbo Mattock Bori King Oakley Lazcko DJ Howard Sub: Henderson McAuley Weso Hume Fryatt Clemence and Hayles can stay at home. They'd be more use there.

Legend_in_blue Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 How can you pick Chambers after yesterday given the form Stearman is in I thought Stearman was injured? If he's fit to play then play him.
Mark Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 We've got no capable wingers so why do we persist in playing 442???? Alnwick Stearman - Kisnorbo - McAuley - MattockClemence - Wesolowski - Oakley ©HumeCampbell - Fryatt

Alnwick Stearman - Kisnorbo - McAuley - MattockClemence - Wesolowski - Oakley ©HumeCampbell - Fryatt again drop Clemence for Kishishev or King and that would be a good team and would probably bring out the best in Hume please note I have nothing against Clemence but he has done nothing to deserve his place at the moment and maybe a spell on the sidelines is what he needs
Mark Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 again drop Clemence for Kishishev or King and that would be a good team and would probably bring out the best in Humeplease note I have nothing against Clemence but he has done nothing to deserve his place at the moment and maybe a spell on the sidelines is what he needs We'd be better off losing him the captaincy than replacing him with a much lesser player, Kishishev couldn't even get in Leeds team and is another one who is well and truly past it.
Jimmy Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 We'd be better off losing him the captaincy than replacing him with a much lesser player, Kishishev couldn't even get in Leeds team and is another one who is well and truly past it. oh yeah either way I think he needs to be removed as captain, the problem is there is no obvious candidate to replace him as there simply isn't a vocal leader on the pitch
gibbom Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 we looked better wen we went to 4-3-3 so that's what im goin for here ben alnwick richard stearman paddy kisnorbo bruno n gotty jamie clapham stephen clemence matt oakley radostin kishishev iain hume steve howard matty fryatt/dj cambell subs henderson chambers wesolowski zsolt hayles
Father Ted Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 My team would be: Alnwick Chambers Stearman Kisnorbo Mattock Bori Wesolowski Oakley Laczko Howard Hume Subs: Mcauley Clemence Campbell Fryatt Hayles And Finally - RECALL MAX GRADEL NOW - OLLIE: I HOPE YOU WERE WATCHING THE CHAMPIONSHIP - GRADEL IS THE ANSWER TO OUR PROBLEMS OH AND GRADEL'S HAIR IS AWESOME

Flynny Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 Alnwick Stearman - Chambers' looked no better, even slightly worse, in fact. Kisnorbo - Not much better than McAuley but beats him for pace. N'Gotty - Calm, influential, most importantly - spots a good pass. Clapham - Good debut. Got forward more than I thought he would. If Hayles's touch was better his two one-twos would have been great and he had a nice shot deflected too. Bori - Actually a right-winger, not woeful in his positioning like Hume. Provides a better outlet. Oakley - Least bad senior midfielder. King - Will hopefully want it more, provide a pass, do the fucking basics right. I'm so angry at Clemence its untrue. He's slow AND slow to react AND not that great a passer anyway. Mattock - Allowing him to go forward free of defensive responsibility should help him relax and settle into the first team a bit. That and he's stronger than Lackszo and will drift inside less. Howard - But only to win crosses. If we're not getting crosses in, stick Fryatt on (who can bring the ball through the centre with amplomb) DJ - Better than Hume, just.
Jimmy Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 Alnwick Stearman - Kisnorbo - McAuley - Mattock Lazcko - Clemence © - Weso - Bori Howard - Hume Subs Campbell - Hayles - Chambers - Clapham - Oakley Is That Better Ched??? you got the wingers on the wrong flank
Webbo Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 I see blind panic has set in yet again. If Ultra's team gets picked I'm getting straight back on the train home. Alnwick Stearman Kisnorbo McAuley ClaphamBori Clemence Oakley MattockCampbell Howard I don't know whether Hume's contract allows him to be dropped but it's something that needs to happen at the moment. There's only room for one of him and Campbell in the team. Glad to see you've dropped Chambers Fez. I think that's the first choice 11.

Holloway is a big liar and is always acting the hard man but why doesn't he REALLY be a hard man and lay down some strict rules and set examples.
FleckneyFox Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 Alnwick Stearman McAuley Kisnorbo Chambers Bori Oakley Wesolowski Mattock Hume Fryatt N'Gotty, Clapham, Clemence, Laczko, Howard I think Howard aint been doing great the last couple of games and he'll be frustrated again by Danny Shittu. Chambers was impressive yesterday and i think he can slot easily into a left back role. Clemence has not played to his ability all season and Wes is a bit more dynamic so i think its time Clem bucked up his ideas and realised he needs to do better. Fryatt hasnt been given a chance since the start on Jan and i think he needs to prove himself. I'd be happy with a 0-0 draw.
maddog Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 Alnwick Clapham Kisnorbo Mcauley ChambersZsolt Oakley © King BoriHoward CampbellBench: Fryatt, Clemence, Stearman, Wesolowski, Hume Time to drop Hume, Clemence and Hayles.
Bryn Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 RECALL. MAX. GRADEL. I really, really wish we would. I won't count on it though. Alnwick Stearman McAuley Kisnorbo ClaphamBori Oakley Clemence GradelHume Campbell Bori looked capable but lost in a left wing position last night - put him back on the right wing where he is meant to be. Gradel has been playing left wing for Bournemouth and would do well if recalled I think. Clemence would be on his last chance to put a decent performance in before making way for Wesolowski. Clapham looked tidy against Plymouth and retains his place, giving Mattock a bit more of a rest, perhaps give him some confidence boosting academy time. Stearman has been on form and I actually think we missed his solidity last night. Howard dropped because he encourages the long ball and Shittu ain't gonna be fazed by big strikers anyway; I know for a fact that they hate pacey strikers running at them because a Watford STH tells me all the time. Wesolowski and Beswick deserve to be hammering on the door to get in the team as well.
Mark Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 RECALL. MAX. GRADEL.I really, really wish we would. I won't count on it though. We had the chance to get him back last week but offered to pay his wages in full for Bournemouth, which is a great gesture, but it's surely not worth it at our expense???
David Guiza Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 Alnwick Stearman Kisnorbo Mcauley Clapham Bori Wesoloski or King Oakley Mattock or Sinclair Howard Fryatt
Simi Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 I think getting Gradel back this season would damage his career massively. We're not playing a way which would suit him. Throwing him in after playing well for Bournemouth and seemingly enjoying it would not help him. Let him have this season, then implement him.
STUHILL Posted 10 February 2008 Posted 10 February 2008 ---------------------------------Alnwick----------------------- Stearman----------Kisnorbo------------McAuley------------Mattock Bori-------------- Oakley-----------------Clemence----------Zolts -------------------------DJ------------------Howard Subs - N'Gotty, Chambers, King, Hume, Hayles Tactics - Using the wingers at every opportunity, spreading it wide and getting cross after cross in to the box. Clemence and Oakley supporting the gaps left by the Wingers if hit on the break. Minimise the hoof ball to Howard, play to feet or through balls to DJ. Simple, high tempo, short passes game. Patient for the breakthrough, not panicking and hitting it long. Playing Zolts a risk after his indifferent form so change him at half time if not performing well, with Clapham and switch Mattock with Clapham. If losing, don't make silly Subs and lose the shape of the side. 4-5 strikers on the field does not mean goals!!! Make Subs like for like, i.e Hume for Dj, Bazza for Howard, King for Clemence etc etc. These are all very simple and basic tactics which Holloway has failed at doing. If Ollie does this and we still lose, then I will have less complaints on his part.
