Play Howard and Hume. Bring DJ on at half time if Hume isn't having one of his good games (he seems to be either great or anonymous in most games when he plays up front).

I think his tenacity will make him more useful away from home than DJ, at least to start with.

Bring back the Mighty Matty thats what I say, give him a chance with Oakley/Ze Hungrys behind him, he was the only one to (quite sublimley) test McCormick on Saturday and he was only on the field 4 minutes.

He's never had a problem doing five minutes, or even 20. Getting the modern equivalent of a full game out of him is a different matter and considering the amount he's played recently I can't see that changing.

Not that I care if he plays or not. Considering the number of shots we've been having lately you could play one of the FoxesTalk Under 21 strikers and expect an improvement.

He's amazing, sublime, amazingly sublime even.

We are in agreement though, anything but Howard and Hayles and I'll be happy.

The closer we get to KO the more I think he'll stick with the same side, maybe swap stearman for chambers (which would be wrong imo)

He'll probably play Stearman right back and Chambers in front of him.

Stearman will be in goal after 30 mins as Alnwick is gonna get injured tonight.

Damn. Reading the subject of this thread I'd just "tuned in" to hear your talking about "attack".

Perhaps another day! :D

Why? I love my team to attack. I just accept it's not always going to be the case, plus it's not as easy to make happen as SOME make out. Thus meaning I don't go on about it 24/7.

In fact, except Mr magoos stink in charge, we are playing the same style of football we always have at Leicester, ugly. (Since I started watching anyway).

Unfortunately, it doesnt seem that obvious to our managers

Tonights tactic...

Long ball..... Aim for Howard.... Head into space... Unchallenged clearance... Hayles 10metres away from the ball

but no, we've definately benefitted from that tactic recently

have you listened to his interview?

Olly doesn't say 'hoof it up to Stevie', they just do it. They shit themselves after going one down, the mid-field started losing evrything and flapping so the lads at the back started thinking fook this i'll get it as far away as possible.

He even made a joke of it apparently with a target on Howard's head in training.

I still believe that Fryatt is our most talented player even if his time with us has been frustrating and dissapointing. I would like to see him get some games were he actually has some players around him who can actually play football and the games he played around Christmas showed that he had been working on his pace and fitness.

I would go with:

Alnwick

Stearman

Kisnorbo

McAuley

Mattock

Hume

Oakley

Clemence

Laczko

Fryatt

Howard

Sincere apologies if I've got the wrong impression. But you've never seemed very keen to change managers who have collectively squeezed the life out of Leicester City in terms of both entertainment and results.

And after all the work in the transfer window what have we now? Does our team have ONE exciting footballer?

Fryatt just frustrates me because for all his control/touches/overhead volleying skillz/whatever he can't seem to put the ball in the bloody net

A simplistic view I know, but I'm a simple person.

Oi, we're Swan Lestas and that, agree with me. You must agree with me. This does not compute.

Fryatts amazing. and I like the rugged stuble he can now grow.

I disagree. I think Fryatt is gash. Okay, maybe a bit harsh. But still, the boy shouldn't start ahead of Dudley or Hume. Those of you who want him back in the team will be the same ones who will be moaning after the game that the lad has got no pace, no physical strength and can't turn his man to save his life. And he's a lazy tit.

Fryatt should not start. Howard with either DJ or Hume.

It is that simple though, he doesn't score enough goals.

I would still like to see him in the side because I think his qualities are what we are missing. If we are going to hoof the ball up to Steve Howard he has to be playing with someone who will play closer to him to win flick ons and move intelligently. Fryatt is one of our few players who can do that.

I set deadlines for all managers to get it right. The summer we had Levein, I said if things hadn't improved by x date then the board should get rid. Things didn't and he got sacked about 3 days after the date I'd said six months earlier.

With Kelly, I said that at the time we couldn't afford to get rid of him. Certainly not to bring someone else in from outside who was any good. As soon as the takeover happened I said he should go. We had moved on from "making do", because we had the money to do so.

I try and take everything into account when looking at the situation, finances, turn around of managers and players, problems they have had to deal with, not just what's happening on the pitch after 16 games.

As I've stated on many occasions I've not really been pro any manager. I'm just pro giving them a REAL chance of getting things right. My definition of a "real go" is not 10/20 games. Once we get to November/December next year I want to see some real progress under Holloway.

You are right there. In several games I've noticed us start by trying to pass the ball but with the first sign of pressure that's it, it's back to humph and hope.

Then, after half-time, as at Blackpool, there might be another spell, especially if we're losing, but as soon as we score it's back to normal.

I can only presume the reason is that the defenders simply don't trust themselves to keep passing and once they stop, the midfield might as well noy exist.

We need a ferryman or even two. People who, like Neil Lennon used to do, sit in front of the defenders and basically have everything fed through them as a matter of course.

They would then feed it forward and re-direct it when it comes back. It was a role I expected Clemence to play but Weso might be the best if he's fit again.

Trouble is you cannot imagine Holloway dumping either Clemence or Oakley so that means going 4-3-3.

I don't see much problem with that because I don't expect much for our wingers, and certainly not just yet, but it's not a final answer. It just might give us a chance to grind out some sort of return.

It might also give us enough strike power generally for an away game, though way short of what's really necessary to be successful.

That's even worse then

It's not like Plymouth was the first time?

'I don't envisage too many changes'

Now, I can safely say, if I travel an hour plus on the tube tonight to zone fecking 7, and see Howard and Hayles upfront again, I will not be going again this season at the least.

After the game Plymouth, Holloway kept the player in the changing rooms for over 30 mins +.

Holloway said then: "If they don't give me it, I'll have to change them. I have told them that and I can still get some new players in on loan. Maybe that is what I will have to do"

Tuesday Morning pre-Watford game..

Holloway stated on radio Leicester : "I didn't think their was much wrong with that (Saturdays performance), I don't Envisage many changes for Watford, I am not concerned about city's lowly league position, they are trying to hard, and should relax, I do not want a Jekyll & hyde team"

WTF????

Holloway you are rapidly sounding like you don't know WTF you are doing!!
