Rich Fox Posted 19 March 2008 Posted 19 March 2008 It's not even worth discussing Playoffs for us are some way off yet and I don't think we'll even come close within the next three seasons if I'm honest. One of the daftest posts ive even come across on here. How can anyone possibly know whats giong to happen in the next 3 weeks let alone 3 years. You sound like your glass is always half empty rather than half full. Bet you struggle through life with things always going against you with that attitude.

I struggle to agree with you there, how in the hell can you say that by reading posts on the internet. And you really think we have a chance of promotion!
C-man Posted 19 March 2008 Posted 19 March 2008 I struggle to agree with you there, how in the hell can you say that by reading posts on the internet. And you really think we have a chance of promotion! I doubt Hull City, Plymouth and Bristol City fans thought they would have a realistic chance of promotion before the season started.
FilboFox Posted 19 March 2008 Posted 19 March 2008 The problem is that you're only looking at the number of points between us and 6th and seeing we can get more than that. But because of the amount of teams above us, it is now mathematically impossible for us to make the play-offs. No, it isn't. I did the predictor thing on the BBC website filling in ALL the fixtures for ALL teams and IF results were to go our way and we were to win ALL of our matches, we could still make the play-offs therefore making it mathematically possible! It's not likely but it just shows how tight the league table is.
Raj Posted 19 March 2008 Posted 19 March 2008 No, it isn't.I did the predictor thing on the BBC website filling in ALL the fixtures for ALL teams and IF results were to go our way and we were to win ALL of our matches, we could still make the play-offs therefore making it mathematically possible! ASH17LCFC Posted 19 March 2008 Posted 19 March 2008 Play off talk should be banned. The players should just concentrate on survival asap. We win one game and he's talking about the playoffs !!! What about Southampton or Preston just the other week ?! We our in a battle to stay up.
FilboFox Posted 20 March 2008 Posted 20 March 2008 We win one game and he's talking about the playoffs !!! What about Southampton or Preston just the other week ?! We our in a battle to stay up. I know that... I am still just hoping that we stay up too but I was merely pointing out how tight the league is if we, who are struggling for survival, can still mathematically make the play-offs!
Manwell Pablo Posted 20 March 2008 Posted 20 March 2008 We won't... but its not mathematically impossible if results go our way. ...when you consider who has to play who it probabley is.
Monk Posted 20 March 2008 Posted 20 March 2008 Looking forward to saturday, one of only 3 more games I can make it to this season. I think if we can put the ball in the net we should win, and really given our performace against Bristol we should certainly match them on the pitch.
James. Posted 20 March 2008 Posted 20 March 2008 I think if we can put the ball in the net we should win You want insightful? There it is, right there.
Ryanside Posted 20 March 2008 Posted 20 March 2008 im looking forward to this one aswell, not been to a game since boxing day! couldnt get my usual seat next to my old man at the front on D2, kind of glad though. Im now up the top end of the Kop for once, just hope we get a decent atmosphere going since there is going to be a decent attendance
hullfox89 Posted 20 March 2008 Posted 20 March 2008 should be a deccent atmosphere with the cheap seats and hull selling 2600 so far
Monk Posted 20 March 2008 Posted 20 March 2008 You want insightful? There it is, right there. I always pride myself with the tenacity of my pre match comments.

Simi Posted 20 March 2008 Posted 20 March 2008 Have Hull scored many lately? Well they dicked Southampton 5-0 in there last game if that's anything to go by.
Rich Fox Posted 20 March 2008 Posted 20 March 2008 I struggle to agree with you there, how in the hell can you say that by reading posts on the internet. And you really think we have a chance of promotion! Yes we have a chance of promotion in the next 3 years of course we have.
Joe. Posted 20 March 2008 Posted 20 March 2008 Yes we have a chance of promotion in the next 3 years of course we have. You're right we have got a chance of promotion yes. But referring to my earlier post, my opinion was that we won't achieve this.
Koke Posted 20 March 2008 Posted 20 March 2008 Any suggestions of how to stop that Frazer Campbell character? Double team him, treble team him maybe. Or just wack him down at every given opportunity - I suggest that we take him out in the first 5 minutes. Kisnorbo has decent pace on him but McAuley is too slow to mark this fella.

Bruno'll sort him out no problem Fraizer Campbell will be fighting to get out of his pocket after the game.
Koke Posted 20 March 2008 Posted 20 March 2008 Done deal. Someone better tell Phil Brown that he can find his lad in Bruno's back pocket at 4.45pm. He'll get him back if he asks nicely.
RowlattsFox Posted 20 March 2008 Posted 20 March 2008 The best way to stop Campbell will be to stop the service to him, don't allow the hull midfield to slide balls in behind and we should be ok and of course we need to be aware of the ball over the top.
accessory Posted 20 March 2008 Posted 20 March 2008 Well they dicked Southampton 5-0 in there last game if that's anything to go by. Actually their last game was against Colchester on Tuesday, when they won 3-1 against 10 men. They're a very physical team with a couple of decent strikers, overachieving in a similar way to how Bristol City or Stoke are doing. We should respect but not fear them.
Raj Posted 20 March 2008 Posted 20 March 2008 FCUKING HAVE IT! Thats all i want to say on the Hull Game. Thank you. and Enjoy! Oh...Happy easter too.....
Thracian Posted 21 March 2008 Posted 21 March 2008 Most encouraging to me is that we owe em one. We were an embarrassment at their place in December. I really wanted to put Kaebi on a lilo in the middle of the Humber with the tide going out and the rest weren't much better. Saturday brings a good opportunity to get our respect back but they're scoring goals for fun and you'd well imagine they're full of confidence so I fully expect our so far resilient defence to get a rare testing. I'll be interested to see Holloway's approach.
