Dave is a mate of mine so im obviously pleased that he has signed. when he was at diamonds he spent 2 weeks on trial at middlesborough, and they bid £300,000 for him...diamonds wanted a million and mc claren told them to do one. he also spent a week on trial at leeds when they were in the prem.

would do a great job out on the wing, very rarely loses the ball and likes to get a cross in the box. good free kick taker as well who scored a good one against sunderland earlier this season. he was very very close to signing for west brom in january. he had said in the past that he would love to play for us...but this must have happened fairly quickly as he never mentioned anything about us coming in for him

He's probably spent years wanting to play for us... I feel for him. Imagine how he'll feel when he arrives and actually plays a game.

He's a winger? :dunno:

I've never seen him play in the centre, he's not another jack of all trades is he?

They said he can play in the centre aswell.

That's so Ollie can appear to be playing square pegs in square holes when he lines up in the middle :P

Yep, quite happy with this one.

Whenever I've seen him he's always looked decent, probably about his level in the Championship anyway. But the burning question- can he make a difference? He may be a good player but whether he can fit into this "team" and produce the goods is another thing.

I did say some not all!

I wasn't disagreeing with you. I'd just love it, for once, if I heard someone talking (realistically) about signings who've got "skills you rarely see", a "brilliant ability to unlock defences", "an accurate, shoot-on-sight mentality" or "finishing to match his blistering pace..."

For me we've got plenty of hard work and I'm forever reminded of that insider who said "It's not brilliance they're looking for at City, it's people who will run all day closing people down, fit the system and do as they're told."

This was off Wiki.

'He is a midfielder who has played mostly in the center and on the right side during the 2006/07 season for Luton.'

Sounds like a Kishishev utility player. Hopefully he will actually play though.

He's an attacking midfielder, not a full back come defensive tradesman.

Can see this becoming permanent - as Luton are fu cked.

But what about all our other wide plays and Chris 'Doddsy' O'Gradel ?

I'm surprised it hasn't been sorted already, unless this literally was last minute and they will sort the bumflufferies of the permanent deal in a few days. I doubt Luton would just let us have him on loan, what would the point be? He's their best player.

Can't argue with this signing, we are hardly flush with wingers and that shows by having to play hume or Hayles out on the left.

I think they've given up.

My guess is they will buy Mansfield Town and change it's name to Luton Town.

It seems the obvious next step.

They are skint and already down. If we take him then we get to pay his salary and maybe a bit more.

I know what you mean. think he does have the ability to beat a man though, but we'll see. Though whether you are skillfull or not hard work should go without saying.

I hope he does have the ability to beat a man on the wing. We've not seen that down here in years. The best at it was Guppy, class act. The only other who raised eyebrows now and then in more recent times, but in no way am I suggesting he was as good as Guppy, was Gillespie. Pity we had to let him go.

I think we should write to a loads of different clubs and ask them to lend us some players for one game as a social experiment so we have a team like

Frey

Ramos

Terry

Heitinga

Carlos

Maxi

Viera

Deco

Mancini

Frutos

Huntelar

Manager: Guss Hiddink

Then watch if play pathetically and draw 0-0 with Colchester at home.

Ramos is out suspended i think and wtf you got Deco in there for? Oakley is 1000 times the player...
