Tabou Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Just had an argument with a middle manager (who is not my boss, may i add). It got to the point where I walked off as I was getting seriously wound up and I really really had to do all I can to not Tw*t the C**T. Now, what do I do? a) Walk back in, apologise and try and iron out our differences. b) Ignore it, it will all settle down c) Go back and give him a pasting. C is my favourite. But there are a few details that you need to be aware of before making a decision. 1) He accused me of spreading rumours about him, which I havent. he refused to tell me who told him, or what was told to him. So I have no idea what I have done, 2) He said that he is a mean person. Personally, I think he is a cowardly brwn noser who is full of shit. 3) He is an Estate Agent. Help
MPH Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 take it to the middle managers line manager. he will be forced to come clean to his own manager if he is making accusations. even if he doesnt reveal them to you, he will have to to his own manager. then his manager will be able to see if the accusations are baseless or not.
hairy Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 c) Go back and give him a pasting. 3) He is an Estate Agent. Help Why do you need help on this matter
Matt Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Ask Dennis Wise, he's the expert, he'll even advise you on legal matters and the consequences. At my place we're always fight/punching each other, More "friendly banter" joking about though, Although I did nearly knock someone out when I was pissed off once, He walked past me and said something to me (Forgot what he said, but he got me bitting) so I got a whole roll of brown parcel tape and lobbed it at him at point blank range which hit him on the back of his head, lets just say he hit the floor Felt well guilty.
Monk Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Escalate it to senior management. It won't improve the atmosphere but its not ver professional of a manager to have a full blown argument like that.
Steven Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 take it to the middle managers line manager. he will be forced to come clean to his own manager if he is making accusations. even if he doesnt reveal them to you, he will have to to his own manager. then his manager will be able to see if the accusations are baseless or not. Start with A and if that fails move on to the above. You need to be seen as being reasonable.
Daggers Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Now, what do I do?d) dress provocatively, showing lots of cleavage, and then accuse him of sexual harrassment e) place a randy badger in his car and paint a white stripe down his back f) send his address to ALF with a note to say that he boils mice to make mice tea g) slip 'shrooms' into his cup of java They all look good to me - so do all of them
Tabou Posted 28 March 2008 Author Posted 28 March 2008 Bit of an update, was walking through the office to go and have a fag, when he said " have you got two minutes" to which i replied (whilst walking, not turning my head) "Speak to me again today and you will be wearing your ****ing coffee" Immature, but felt good. I am serioulsy considering my options. I think I might speak to my boss (we are two seperate companies). My boss is a lovely lovely bloke who really likes me (i think). I shall tell him my version of events. However, my boss hates said indvidual, and may advise me to throttle him. I hate petty shite in the workplace !
Wils Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Why dont you just paste everyone at your work, then throw coffee on them.

Manwell Pablo Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Shag his wife/partner/sister/mum/dad. Ironic that you probabley added that bit on the end for comic effect.
Wils Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Shit on his car. Thats something Maybury would do. But if your going to do it, make sure it gets on the door handles and in the window wipers. Shag his wife/partner/sister/mum/dad. Or brother.
Simi Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Thats something Maybury would do. But if your going to do it, make sure it gets on the door handles and in the window wipers. That is definitely something I'd expect from Maybury. The man is not to be messed with.
Flexx Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 I spreaded rumours about a middle boss at work, and just got a word off him. Things are alright now. I just ignore people i don't like at work, it's better than getting involved and getting sacked.
James. Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 And on his face. Shit on my face and tell me that you love me. I'll shit on your face and tell you I love you, too. I love to hear you oralise When I'm between your thighs. You blow me away! Shit on my face and let my lips embrace you. I'll shit on your face, and then I'll love you truly. Life can be fine if we both sixty-nine If we shit on our faces in all sorts of places and play Till we're blown away!
