Finnegan Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 Rangers will try and grind out some boring 0 - 1 and lose by a goal, imo.
dandannieldanok Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 Depends if Arshavin is playing, one of the best players in Europe on his day, though Russian teams never seem to do well away from Russia for some reason. They didn't really miss Arshavin against Munich despite his excellence, Zenit have a deceptively good squad. Rangers will try and grind out some boring 0 - 1 and lose by a goal, imo. I too think they'll lose by the odd goal. Rangers have really annoyed me with their style throughout this competition especially when playing at Ibrox, it's effective undoubtedly but damn frustrating to watch.

I take it you'd have loved us to employ these same tactics this season? Megson-style, eh? Well, they're grinding on and we're... Hmph... Still looking forward to an exquisite matchup in the final. St. Petersburg to nick it 2-1.
Head Honcho Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 Come on Zenit! Only reason I'm not in Manchester today is because I have a plane to catch at 6am on thursday. Gutted!
purpleronnie Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 Zenits top scorer is out. Massive boost for rangers.
Tilley Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 Zenits top scorer is out. Massive boost for rangers. I still see Zenit winning two nil. Don't Rangers have a couple of players out too??
purpleronnie Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 I still see Zenit winning two nil.Don't Rangers have a couple of players out too?? yeah their much of muchness though. Zenit missing their striker is a big blow. People keep on about Zenit just becauise they thrashed Bayern Munich, but they lost 3 of there 8 UEFA cup games, I just think they have had their moment. I still think if Bayern got through they would beat Rangers no problems, I rate Bayern much higher than Zenit. I wouldnt bet on this game, too close to call.
mancunianfox Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 Been in the city centre today. It is ABSOLUTELY MENTAL! Rangers fans everywhere, and Zenit have brought a few too. Hoping to watch the final in town tonight a couple of Rangers fans from work. Should be fun.

Hoping to watch the final in town tonight a couple of Rangers fans from work. Should be fun. Aren't they expecting around 100,000 fans there tonight? Not necessarily all Rangers though. I think they're putting up big screens around the city. Should be a good match, come on Rangers.
ASH17LCFC Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 My brother on a train in Manchester now and says the train is rocking. Rangers fans everywhere singing. FOLLOW FOLLOW
Uncle Albert Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 A few of us were planning on going upto Manchester to watch the game in some big park where a few big screens have been placed. But... Tommeh has to work the cock. He needs to get his prioritites right.
Jay Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 spoke to a few people in Manchester at work today apparently it's total mayhem everywhere as far as Preston, Blackpool and Bury are totally blue!! around the COM stadium they were everywhere sleeping in bus shelters, drinking Stella at 6am it's just crazy by all accounts
Guest Posted 14 May 2008 Posted 14 May 2008 Bloody exams. Why do they have to be at the best part of the season (relgations excepted...)?

DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 17 May 2008 Posted 17 May 2008 Bahahaha all this talk of 4 trophies... now they have bottled the UEFA Cup and we have moved one step closer to netting our third title in a row!! If QoS net the Scottish Cup, all the huns will have is the League Cup!!
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 18 May 2008 Posted 18 May 2008 Where's Poynton gone? Probably asking Big Jock whether he knew we would win again this season.
