Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill is set to raid old club Leicester City. The Mirror says O'Neill has lined up a £2.5million raid on his old club Leicester for youngsters Joe Mattock and Richard Stearman.

Defender Mattock, 17, was the subject of a failed £1m bid from West Ham in January and has been watched by Aston Villa boss O'Neill this season.

And the Foxes' player of the year Stearman, 20, is another target - with Sunderland and Spurs also keen on the defender.

Premier clubs don't buy players like Mattock to play them, they buy them on the off chance they might turn out good, get them young, get them cheap, if it doesn't work out sell them to Championship team. A low risk strategy.
