Lillehamring Posted 10 June 2008 Posted 10 June 2008 I fear us as fans would not have patience and more importantly, that Milan would not have patience.I wanted him pre Allen and like like his attributes as a Manager having hated him as a player. I just think we are a risk which he doesn't necessarily need. Both us and MKD could be a springboard for him to go to a bigger club (hence already being touted for Blackburn). Why move to us when he is already in a position where one more decent season could see a far bigger club showing an interest. 'far bigger clubs' have shown an interest in him, but he declined them...
RedOnRed Posted 10 June 2008 Posted 10 June 2008 yes, but would you be in that position if ince did chose to leave? Interesting question. We'd have the same team and potential and one thing that has been encouraging is the standard of applicants that have applied previously for our vacant managers job, and that was in league 2. TBH, what ever happens, i'm just pleased to be out of the bottom league and not have the dismal reading of our last two seasons fixture list to contend with. With the best will in the world watching your team play the likes of Accrington Stanley, Dagenham & Redbridge and Morecambe is a challenge in itself.
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 10 June 2008 Posted 10 June 2008 To anyone concerned that people who support other teams are being treated in a childish manner:Our resident Franchise fan is a one post poster, all he does is repeat the same bullshit mantra. It's like reading a post about Sheehan times 10 to the power of ****ing boring. If this tit is allowed to continue posting this crap he will continue to receive shit from people. I wouldn't mind so much but putting him on block doesn't prevent me from still seeing the bollocks he comes out with when he is quoted by other people. Christ I hope we don't get Ince - the dick will move in here again for another sodding six months. Be careful how you choose your words mate with this guy one of the mods said that one of my replies was nr abusive yet i was only being honest.
Shrenchel Posted 10 June 2008 Posted 10 June 2008 RedOnRed why have you racked up so many posts on an internet forum of a team you don't even support??! Have you seriously got fooking nothing better to do?! However much bollocks you write most sensible people on here are still gunna think you're a franchise supporting goon so you probably shouldn't waste quite so much of your time. Why don't you try going outside or summin?! It's pretty good. There's people and that.
C-man Posted 10 June 2008 Posted 10 June 2008 [/bullshit] I can't believe you've spouted the same rubbish almost 500 times. Do you have a Word document with automated responses and just copy and paste accordingly?

You're right, I don't support Leicester but I am interested in whether our manager leaves or not and as ever in these situations there's two sides to every story. One perspective I get on our forums and one on yours. Right now on a regular basis we have some of your guys coming onto our forums and leaving comments and TBH none of us have a problem with that. They seem alright and it's good to have them there for a bit of banter. Otherwise it just sort of turns into a one sided Stalinist newspaper read where the only news and remarks is predictable.

Possibly to try and find out what's going on with Ince at a wild guess. Why not sign up and go see for yourself if you're that interested.

There's one of him and a billion of us, course he'll be repeating himself. I've no idea why replying to similar concerns expressed by different people is interesting for him, but why he's being polite I don't see the need for people to be haranguing him either.
Raj Posted 10 June 2008 Posted 10 June 2008 Aint we got that bastard yet? I bet we end up with another dead beat.
FilboFox Posted 10 June 2008 Posted 10 June 2008 What is taking so long? Surely he should have heard from Ince now... or Winkleman or whatever his name is... or are they trying to spin off some new bit of news saying Ince is now too busy doing something else to take a phone call?

This is where I get in danger of being accused of repeating myself...Ince has been on a famly holiday in Portugal. He could be still there and it would cause a delay.

MikeyT Posted 11 June 2008 Posted 11 June 2008 Mandaric forced to wait (From the Bluearmy) by Bill Anderson Leicester City chairman Milan Mandaric is “not giving up” on managerial candidate Paul Ince, even though MK Dons have yet to grant permission for talks. Ince is one of Mandaric's targets for interview this week as he hopes to reach a conclusion to the managerial search by the weekend. Although the former Manchester United and Liverpool man is not being described as top of the short list, the determination of Mandaric to at least sound him out speaks for itself as a strong indicator. The City chairman said: “I have nothing specifically to report except that, so far, we have not been given permission from MK Dons to speak to Paul Ince. “But I am not giving up on it. He is a strong candidate and is definitely someone we want to talk to.” Ince has been linked with a move to the Premiership as a target for the Blackburn job. But, although the Ewood Park board have announced they have a six-man short list, there is no confirmation that Ince forms part of that. Indeed Rovers former hero Alan Shearer seems to be in pole position for the post. Until MK Dons give City the nod on Ince, Mandaric will have to pursue other contenders but will still not reveal any of those he is interested in so far. Mandaric said: “I am anxious to get moving on this because it is important for the new manager to get straight to work. “One of the problems with the last two managers, Gary Megson and Ian Holloway, was that they did not have their own pre-season programme to build on.”

I'm sure MK Don's reluctance to let him talk OR Ince's indication that he doesn't want to talk to City (he came back from holiday on Sunday apparently) means MM is having to 'move on'. Grayson the next target ? I reckon we'll be hearing about trying to get permission to talk to him today or Thursday. He certainly fits MM's desire to get a manager in who has got promotion from League 1. And Mandy sounds like he definitely wants someone by next week.
