hairy Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 ......Is it any good....and secondly will it be safe for coloured folk in that neck of the woods!!!!??? As long as you dont look in their eyes you should be fine. Watch out for the twitchers too. We go there a lot. Lots of pubs. Sherringham and Cromer are alright but if you go South of Cromer (East maybe) then the beaches are sandy but not much else there until you hit the Norflock Broads and Yarmouth. If you go North (West) of Cromer there are some good places, generally smaller. Found a great pub called the three swallows in Cley Next The Sea, good grub. It really depends what you want to do but by the sound of it your Mrs will be dictating that by how far she can walk and if its too hot for her. But remember its the east coast so always take a brolli. Holts a good place too. No beach though.
Jordan Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Three days in Minnesota and Wisconsin in July. It's really nice. No, really, it's really nice.
AoWW Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 What's the difference ??? Erm, the "long weekend's" longer than the other 2 'normal' weekends, I would imagine.

Uh long story, but Virginia to meet my girlfriend's family, NY, Chicago, Denver (10 days), Grand Canyon, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver (10 days), WInnipeg, Churchill MT. Can't wait for the Polar Bear thing, had it on the pipeline for a few years. She got any good tips for where to stay, if it was Churchill she went to?
Mickey O'Neil Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 I had such a fab time in Belfast in January, I'm going back on 21st July. I'm going to work my way towards Derry this time though (went Portadown,Armagh etc last time). Don't know where else I'm gonna go this year yet though.
Samilktray Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 Where the cock is Salou? Mainland Spain i think. My families going there and leaving me home alone for the week. Brave.
Guest Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 Where the cock is Salou? Spain. It's about an hour, on the train, from Barcelona. There is a large theme park just outside Salou, and it's the only reason I wanted to go there. I had such a fab time in Belfast in January, I'm going back on 21st July. I'm going to work my way towards Derry this time though (went Portadown,Armagh etc last time). Don't know where else I'm gonna go this year yet though. I've been there. Do the walk around the city walls, it's interesting, and a bit of an eye-opener!
smokey Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 Just been to Dubai for the week, loved it! Even got the chance to have a cheeky dig at Kevin Blackwell who stayed in same hotel!
DB11 Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 Erm, the "long weekend's" longer than the other 2 'normal' weekends, I would imagine. A weekend is two days so 48 hours. How can one suddenly become longer?

Simi Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 A weekend is two days so 48 hours. How can one suddenly become longer? Crop circles.

Uncle Albert Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 You Rawlins boy's crack me up. It comes natural for me and Tevez not Tom.
Guest Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 Bit of an eye opener like these? Yes! Derry is strange; the nationalist estates had murals with doves and rainbows, indicating that the troubles were over, whereas the unionist estates literally painted a very different picture. I found it all uneasy.
Suffolk_fox Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 We just got back from Sardinia - £10 each way with Ryandon'tcare, €50 per night b&b. El Cheapo but super weather!
Teeno Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 I'm off to Malia in July with the lads, should be a good week. Just the one holiday this year. I went Turkey, Magaluf, Israel and Austria last year and now have to work 60+ hours a week over 2 jobs to pay for it.
