Derry is strange; the nationalist estates had murals with doves and rainbows, indicating that the troubles were over, whereas the unionist estates literally painted a very different picture. I found it all uneasy. Well I'm defo off to the Bogside, any other suggestions Lisa? I'm flying in to Belfast very early, stopping a night then driving to Derry. Any suggestions between or beyond Belfast/Derry?

Any suggestions between or beyond Belfast/Derry? The Giant's Causeway is obvious, but it is something to behold. Plus you get to scramble on some rocks! Lough Neagh is also good for walks/views. If you drive to the north, then along the coast road, there are some cracking beaches, if that is your kind of thing. We went out for a meal in Portrush, and it reminded me of Mablethorpe, for some reason! SF has been to Bushmills, and said that was good. Are you flying into International or City airport? Near to Int. there is a retail outlet, Junction One, where I picked up some bargains, and was only limited by the fact I had opted to take hand luggage!

Did you find an awesome bar called the Garage where a blond bearded guy called Ivan (half-Mancunian, half-Spanish) gives you free litres of beer all night because he's generally pissed up as well? I love the Garage.

I love the Garage. Damn, no i missed it!!! We went to one bar near the robin hood, and the owner must have had a barmy with his mrs, cus his mrs went around trying it on all the men, giving drinks away and kept flashing and rubbing her bits against me!!! It was very bizarre, as I was with the mrs and kids, I wanted to go back but wasn't allowed!!!

Raj Posted 18 June 2008 Posted 18 June 2008 Went Magaluf in April. Best holiday ever. Going Skeggy again in September for the weekend. Won't go back abroad 'til next year i don't think now. Been There! Same place as usual, go next Thursday. Return on the 5th, back here for 5 days then go to Turkey on the 10th. Can't bloody wait for either. Been Turkey! I am going to Florida on the 3rd July. I will be spending the 4th in my England shirt singing Rule Brittania, Land of Hope and Glory, and God Save the Queen (both versions). Been Florida! Should be going to prague with friends on thursday, but i'm such a twa*t I cant go. Went Prague! I'm off to Malia in July with the lads, should be a good week.Just the one holiday this year. I went Turkey, Magaluf, Israel and Austria last year and now have to work 60+ hours a week over 2 jobs to pay for it. Been Malia!!! The Olympic stadium and Espanyols ground are the same place. Been There! Sorry!!! But due to impending baby and the lack of overseas hols for the near future i just feel abit left out!!! Hope you all enjoy your hols,wherever you go!!!! (bastards!)
