Mark Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Worst possible draw, at home to a team we already have to play twice this season
Ashley Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Ashley that can't be right, Hull won't be in it surely?I'm not bothered who we get, as long as it's away. Not sure where that list is from but it's not correct!I doubt Hull would be on it and can't see Bristol Rovers who would be my choice of opponents! It was took from another thread I did say ... . Great Stockport
SamL Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 What a let down. They're in the same league as us next year so it won't even be that interesting. It would've been better if it was away.
Maybes Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 . This is definately a game I wont be forking out £20 to go and see. Cant really see the attendance breaking the 5 figure mark.
lildave3 Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Stockport at home? That's quite lame. A massive 7 thousand at the Walkers.
RowlattsFox Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Preston v Chesterfield Chester v Leeds Leicester v Stockport Sheffield United v Port Vale Grimsby v Tranmere Crewe v Barnsley Hartlepool v S****horpe Derby v Lincoln Notts County v Doncaster Sheffield Wednesday v Rotherham Shrewsbury v Carlisle Wolves v Accrington Bury v Burnley Rochdale v Oldham Nottingham Forest v Morecambe Huddersfield v Bradford Macclesfield v Blackpool Walsall v Darlington Coventry v Aldershot MK Dons v Norwich Wycombe v Birmingham Brighton v Barnet Gillingham v Colchester Southend v Cheltenham Swansea v Brentford Luton v Plymouth Exeter v Southampton Watford v Bristol Rovers Bournemouth v Cardiff Bristol City v Peterborough Charlton v Yeovil Millwall v Northampton Swindon v QPR Crystal Palace v Hereford Dagenham & Redbridge v Reading Ipswich v Leyton Orient
lildave3 Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 I'm actually very displeased at that. The Sappletree had better play.
Finchy Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Good draw IMO, we should win it that's all that matters in this round. At least lets get to the stage when the big teams come in!
purpleronnie Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Great, being outsung by stockport fans, the humiliation continues.
Marcoos Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 . This is definately a game I wont be forking out £20 to go and see. Cant really see the attendance breaking the 5 figure mark. Likely to be closer to 5 than 5 figures
Tilley Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Rubbish draw, but at leats it is one we should win, hopfully
Darkzzz_ Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 One we hope to win!!! I cant honestly say i dont care about the carling cup, i just want us to go up!!
viewfromthenorth Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Actually a really good first post. Welcome to FT. Thanks! And you too C-man. Playing straight off the bat, I'm an away fan....a 'dirty' Leeds fan to be precise, , as we are both in this hellhole of a division I thought I would pop over for a bit of pre-season tittle-tattle. I'm not a WuM of any kind, and to be honest, with Waccoe as the main Leeds forum, I spend most of my time on opposing teams message boards! As for your tie, it could be a bit of a blessing in disguise...it takes a bit of time to realise just how poor the football is in this league, a tie against Stockport could help you accustom yourselves quicker to what lies ahead. It's not a hard league to get out of....but it's not easy either. I'll say (and very much mean) the same thing I said to my Forest friends last season...I sincerely hope we occupy the top two spots come the end of the season.
mega2kn1 Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Preston v Chesterfield Chester v Leeds Leicester v Stockport Sheffield United v Port Vale Grimsby v Tranmere Crewe v Barnsley Hartlepool v S****horpe Derby v Lincoln Notts County v Doncaster Sheffield Wednesday v Rotherham Shrewsbury v Carlisle Wolves v Accrington Bury v Burnley Rochdale v Oldham Nottingham Forest v Morecambe Huddersfield v Bradford Macclesfield v Blackpool Walsall v Darlington Coventry v Aldershot MK Dons v Norwich Wycombe v Birmingham Brighton v Barnet Gillingham v Colchester Southend v Cheltenham Swansea v Brentford Luton v Plymouth Exeter v Southampton Watford v Bristol Rovers Bournemouth v Cardiff Bristol City v Peterborough Charlton v Yeovil Millwall v Northampton Swindon v QPR Crystal Palace v Hereford Dagenham & Redbridge v Reading Ipswich v Leyton Orient Ties to be played in the week commencing 11th August.
Corky Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 It's good that we've got a team from the same division, so we can see what they are about before the league matches. No match in the first round for us was going to be a dream, it will be tough, but hopefully we'll get through it.
Shrenchel Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 fooking terrible. You shoulda been able to collect a certain amount of ring-pulls to guarantee an away draw, I woulda done it on my own.
